Arry is absolutely right IMHO but the bias towards the man who provided us with the most entertaining football for many a year is just ridiculous

"Another player who can score 20-odd goals"...

Thanks, Harry. So which of Defoe, Saha, Krancjar or Chimbonda shall we sign to achieve this feat?

So easily done, signing that 20-goal a season striker.

Does he ever talk about QPR or always Spurs?
Maybe he just gives more of a fuck about Spurs - considering he is the fourth most successful manager we have had - than QPR.

And yeah the tabloids love a Harry Headline but ffs the guy cared about our club completely before - and while - getting distracted by the ENGLAND JOB (and who wouldn't have?)

I'm fed up with the lack of respect for a great servant to our club. Who harks on about Greaves, Hoddle or Gazza or Klinsmann or Van Der Vaart when they were let go? They all still love the club like he does and they achieved an equivalent level of significance in our history.

This guy gets way too much respect in the game. He's just a dodgy blagger with a big mouth as far as I am concerned.

“I just told him to tell Pavlyuchenko to f***ing run around a bit” - Harry Redknapp.

Tactical genius.

That got us to the quarters of the CL. Truth is, he's good at man management and has players wanting to play for him. I do not care how our manager gets the players playing well, so long as they do. As Redknapp said, football is not complicated. Professionals know how to play the game.

AVB was supposed to be a tactical genius with his iPad and complex tactics... how'd that work out for us.

He got more points with a considerably worse squad than Redknapp?

"They are short. They need a shake-up. They need to recruit three or four more top players this summer. Then they can think about possibly qualifying for the Champions League."
Levy and Lewis wont be in a rush to do that I'm sorry to say.Another
season of failing to support the team from the boardroom is here.

Sometimes we don't do the bleeding obvious though, last season Poch wanted a striker but didn't get one.

But I also thought it was obvious we need to off load at least one of the 2 highly paid misfiring strikers we have before we can buy another?

damn, wake me up when this thread is locked and the usual suspects aren't beating those tired "redknapp was great" and "redknapp is a knob" drums!

Spot on. It's getting boring now - from both Harry and the Pro/Con factions.

It's like when two people split up and won't shut up about how much they hate each other, years later.

Who took us the the CL QF, and fourth place finishes in the PL. Name me the last Spurs manager to do that since the PL was formed?

Grow up for fucks sake.

Well you sure showed me! I guess you're right then with 8x Agrees and 5x Winners to my pathetic 3x dislikes and 1x Funny. I take heart from the 1x Funny.

I guess I just resent Harry being our most successful manager in recent history. I think he lucked out with the squad he inherited and just ended up in the right place at the right time. But whatever!

Harry is not a tactician.

Everytime he has done 'well' it's been because of personnel. And in the main it's been personnel foisted upon him rather than some tactical nous.

He plays a decent style of attacking football but that only works when world class players paper over his obvious deficiencies.

The West Ham team he did well with was chock a block with genuine, albeit young, world class players. The team he inherited with us was also filled with unbelievable talent. Though it took him a while to realise this and even then he struggled to get a possible premiership winning team to 4th.

He seems a decent guy if a bit up his own arse but I genuinely don't see him as someone to learn off.

I would have liked to see him as England manager in a 7 game tournament. That was his strength. Getting the best out of players in the short term. But I reckon he would have struggled to get England to actually qualify.

Only way that will ever happen is if anything Redknapp related is banned from being posted on the forum

The trouble is Redknapp is in the media, why should he be asked not to comment on Spurs, anymore than a sky pundit that has no affiliation to Spurs, through to Lineker that does.

If Hoddle was to make the same comments, would he get slaughtered? I doubt it

This is like a scene from a Harry movie: Harry Potter. Just as when the Dark Lord gives a sign all the Death Eaters appear, when Redknapp speaks all his acolytes come rushing from the undergrowth where they have lain awaiting his call.

No it's just a difference of opinions which regularly happens on chat forums, I wasn't on SC the season we got to the CL quarters so can't comment on if he had a few haters them days, but too much has happened since, which seems to of built 3 groups

1, that would like to thank him for help saving us with 2 from 8, and making us a team that many opo fans began to enjoy watching our brand of football.

2, the group that never liked him enough, so when he did f up, they could say "they were right!"

3, the group that couldn't give a toss, and get fed up of reading Redknapp threads, because they know what will happen.

To be honest if I was in group 3, I wouldn't even bother opening the thread, no one forces you.

On group 1 and 2, it's just a difference of opinion
