this is so depressing.

I love martin jol (and the feeling is mutual), however, our season is rapidly going up the swanny.

It's getting to a point now where it looks like he's out. no question.

The Board undermined him from the start of the season, which didn't install confidence in the squad or the manager or the fans.

The Media didn't help one bit blowing everything way out of proportion and generally talking complete shit.

So basically, now we will lose Jol, berbatov will go, and we'll get some Lawrie Sanchez/Neil Warnock/Bottom 3 manager who will take us to the championship and probably keep us there.

People harp on about last year, but something is different this year. It's in the players attitude, where's the will to fight? Any pressure and they fold like a pack of cards. They don't fill me with confidence one iota.

Pretty much with your sentiments all the way - i just can see the contagion spreading, lack of confidence, self belief, whatever it is...i don't see any passion, any fight,

i don't see many bright sparks (bale has been good though) - and we spent, but now looking at the perfirmances we have not spent wisely..I think Kaboul is a good buy, but hes not settled yet, so perhaps |Tony and Dawson are more dependable at the back?, Lee and Chims/Salty are dependable. I'd be thrilled if we're a Premiership side the next season. European spot.....yeah right

well you want us to just give up on this season altogether, just try not to get relegated and be happy with that ?

we are still in 3 cups, we have a great chance in the Carling cup etc where a few good teams are already out and some don't play full strength sides, so why not try to save our season by winning one of them

poor league form doesn't mean crap cup form, often a side not doing well in the league goes far in cups, just look at Boro reaching the UEFA Cup final etc when they were shite in the league

Jol has brought this whole situation on us and himself, primarily by not dropping Robbo, ages ago. He's let the total lack of our goalkeeper's form and lack of confidence permeate throughout our defense, totally destabilizing it (not to mention costing us vital points); it then runs through our midfield who become more anxious about protecting our back four and then hits our strikers who become demoralized, because how ever many they score, they know we're gonna be letting more in at the our end.

Jol has got himself the sack...and he will get the sack. It's a shame, we all love him and we want him to be great here and stay with us, but his stubborn insistence on this key issue has fucked us...and fucked us good and proper.

We are in a very serious predicament, there is going to have to be a lot of introspection/soul searching and psychological healing to raise us out of it.

Nice post. Not sure why SS57 has such an issue with it.

Don't assume others are as obtuse as you are; that's one mighty assumption, right there. I wouldn't lump them all in the same basket, personally.

No desire to waste precious energy explaining things to you, SS57, I don't think any sort of guidance can help you. You fail; every time.
