Might be a good option ,if he can play inside left ....more than an out and out striker ....
Ade up top ( or new guy ) then remy on the left eriksen in the middle Lamela on the right ......with two sitting mids ....sandro /paula/dembele/Nab/capoue ( fighting for them two postitions )
Hmmmm......

As much as I want to tell him to pi$$ off. If he turned out to be the next Thierry Henry, I'd feel even worse. As long as he isn't just using us to get a move elsewhere.

Of course he would rather play for Arsenal, most would, hence why we are desperate to become a CL side like them on a regular basis.

I'm happy to wait, he isn't amazing but probably the best available player for the money with PL experience. I think he is a better player than most give him credit for TBH and who cares about a bit of attitude? Maturity comes with age.

Oh, that's a novelty - a professional footballer wants to play champions league?? Wow...

Personally, I think there is better out there, but regardless of whether we go after him or not, I'm really bored with so many of them going on about wanting the champs league - IF you're good enough, why do you want it handed to you on a plate? Why do so many players in the modern game want instant fame served up without actually earning it If players still possessed any pride or wanted to feel a sense of achievement, why do they all want to jump on a successful bandwagon, rather than being the difference to a club on the verge? It can only be about money, it's the only factor that is different really - play in the champs league, earn more. Well, if that's how the 'superstars' of today achieve status then it's frankly embarrassing that so much talent is so pathetically focused on earnings rather than their legacy.

Btw, anyone else find they can't scroll to the bottom of their post when posting on a phone? Can we get the box resizable?

You might be right in general terms but not really in Remy's case. All the signs are that QPR don't wan't him / can't afford him so it is surely common sense for him to look for the best career opportunity.
At the fee mentioned a much better buy than another punt from outside the Prem.

If the price quoted is accurate his capture would be a no brainer. He scored fourteen in twenty four games (ot twenty six i think) for Newcastle last season. He is fast, tricky and a goal poacher similar to Lineker or Defoe.

A definate upgrade for the team as a whole, and one we will need with the EL to contend with. No one can blame him for waiting to see if a CL club would take him, i'd be the same and so would anyone with an ounce of common sense.

We could have picked up Remy, Berbs, and Sturridge for less than we paid for Soldado a couple of seasons ago.

I wonder how the last couple of seasons would have panned out had we done so.

Why don't we tell him we're making a big push for 4th place next season and will breakthrough, and he can then enjoy CL footy at Spurs?

That line has worked for the last 3 seasons.;)

No chance of that mate, he's nowhere near as good as Henry. He can go to the Scum for all I care, he'll be injured most of the time. Also, he'll always be known as 'The Shit Henry', anyone really want that at our Club?

Is this comment related to the unsubstantiated rape claim made against him that was dropped because he didn't do it?
No, not at all. My point is that he comes across like Mario Balotelli or Adebayor in regards to his ego. He reminds mainly of Taarabt; claiming he's too big for Newcastle and yet he wasn't even their player of the year. He hasn't proven enough or performed well enough to deserve champions league footy IMHO and yet he demands it.

Fair enough.
I just get angry when people treat men wrongly accused of rape badly. There's a lot of spiteful money grabbing women around and they can easily destroy an innocent man's life.
