Just look at how many people have replied to this thread - that shows how much Ledley means to us all. I love the man and really believe that if he comes back to the first team things will turn around - we have SO missed his defensive skills, his leadership, integrity, calmness under pressure, vision, organisation, the list goes on and on. WELCOME BACK TO OUR KING.

Of course it will be great to have Leds back in the first team, but I don't think the defense is going to dramatically improve just because he comes back, we've conceded a lot of goals even with king in the team.

we should put a cardboard cutout of Ledley in CB instead of Kaboul, it might inspire the team more and defend better! jk, Kaboul doesn't deserve all the heat he's getting, though certaintly some of it. Great to see King playing footie again though

Yeah, replacing one of our average CBs with a world class one won't make any difference . No one is saying we'll be water tight but on past form, it should be a dramatic improvement.

And if past form is anything to go by, then Dawson's game will improve with Ledley playing alongside him. The defence won't be completely watertight until Ledley gets some competitive matches under his belt, but he's renowned for fitting into first team football very quickly.

Perhaps with Ramos's tactics and a defensive rock in place, we may start clawing our way up the table.

I'd obviously love it if he's involved on Thursday but i think a wiser tactical move would be to release him for the first time at home on Sunday.

I can't wait till Ledders starts his next Prem match! The atmosphere at WHL will be fantastic when he steps onto the pitch!

We've got Ledders at the back!!

It will be like that part in Raiders of the Lost Ark when they are explaining that any army who carries the Ark in front of them will be invincible.

Are we getting ahead of ourselves yet?

I hate to burst anyones bubble but do you lot honestly think that King coming back will fix everything ?

He's not a leader. He was always better himself with an experienced CB next to him.

He's one of the best footballing CB's I've seen but he is not exactly the answer to our problems at the back. And he has played very little football over the last year or so.

I think whatever happens we need to buy the highest quality, experienced CB, with leadership ability we can find in January. If King stays fit then great they play together.

No i don't think anybody thinks it will fix EVERYTHING, but what it will do is fix ALOT of things.

Not only will you be getting the best centreback in the Prem but you will also be getting one of the fastest. This will enable us to play a higher line. You will be getting alot of experience that he can use to help the players around him.

Ledley also makes makes very few mistakes and as we know most of the goals we have been conceding have been due to individual errors rather than being carved apart by the opposition. If leds and Rocha had been playing last week we would now have 5 more points than we currently do.

I firmly believe that had they both, or even one, had been playing since the beginning of the season we would be in the top 6.

How was Dorian? Still have pace?

Looked good to me, although got done somewhat for their goal which I suppose is a drawback. But for a first game back (hasn't he been out longer than Ledley?) it was very encouraging.

Yeah, Dorians been out with his cruciate ain't he? Major injury.
I'm really looking forward to him getting some game time. I'd have him over dawson any day of the week. And I've only seen him play one and a half games.

You do realise you can lead by example. He may not be that vocal, but he really is a leader.

Not only that, but he's respected more than anyone at or to do with the club. Certainly with the fans. I've never known a player be respected to such a degree before.
