Just wondering if anyone has seen much of the up and comings (other than Taarabt). I'm particularly interested in Birchichie & Rose. Any reports on these two or any others that look promising.

Rose scored for the reserves the other day. The was also an article in the Mail claiming we were looking to loan him out to get some 1st team experience. In general I get the impression the Parret is the most likely to make it, but this is purely from what i've read, i've never seen him play. I think SO is the best site for first hand accounts of our youth players.

Hmm, EddieBailey is the fella you need to talk to - he's my first port of call for info on the reserves and academy players

TOMAS PEKHART is the man for the future...!!! 19 goals in 20 matches for our Academy and a further 12 appearances for our reserves. Only injury denied him the chance to improve that strike record.:clap::clap:

I'd guess that if Perkhart is to make it, he'll be a late developer. Alot of his type of player are. The likes of Zigic, Crouch, Jancker and Koeller, didn't really make any impact until their mid twenties. I think it's because whilst at youth levels their height is a significant advantage, when they move up to senior level, they find this advantage is balanced out by being surrounded by more physical players. I think being tall and lanky means they just need that bit longer to grow into their frames.

Apparently there is an interview with Rose in Hotspur magazine this month. He says if he has a weakness, it's his right foot. He sounds very confident of his ability.

I was about to post that not many of the reserves get featured in Hotspur, so he must be doing something right, but then I remembered Johnny Jackson got a page long interview in spurs monthly. "It's a hard task breaking into the spurs midfield [past Redknapp and Acimovic] but Johnny Jackson..."

Just a comment on your sig, you would buy Richards (very optimistic) and then play Chimbonda ahead of him!?! Madness.

Didn't someone say Richards is angling for a job as a centre back, rather than the right back slot? For the last two windows i've wanted us to sign him up - superb young talent, but as pointed out on each occasion, Citeh just won't let him go and he's very happy playing there  what can you do?

I would rather look to that left back slot and see if someone like Leighton Baines might be available... but that's Off Topic, so i'll shut up ;)

What options do we have at left back amongst our youngsters?

Bale?

Daniels and Berchiche. And I suppose BAE technically counts as a youngster.
