Reading in the Cancelo thread we've apparently made a £27m offer, rejected.
Wonder if we'd consider going back in for Pereira since we supposedly watched Porto's game at the weekend, as his release fee is less than £27m.

Trips off with a knock again, we need someone that takes on and runs beyond so hopeful we move for this guy

Thing is walker-peters already looks more comfortable taking people on than tripps. But he's very inexperienced which is an issue

Left out today as it was agreed that he "wasn't focused" supposedly. Could we return for him again? Depends on how close we are to signing Aurier I guess. SA the better player I think, but RP faster and perhaps comes with less baggage. I'd be happy with either!

He would certainly be the more popular choice but JJ saying 'ongoing' with Aurier last night makes me highly doubt we are close enough to warrant Pereira sitting out a match. Of courae ITK can always be off but JJ has been pretty on point so far.

He's ill apparently.

JJ's also said the Pereira deal is dead.

lil piece of interesting speculation... the attendance of foreign scouts is reported after every matchday in the Portuguese press. This weekend's Porto game, where Pereira missed due to illness, was the first our scouts hadn't attended after seeing the prev 2 -- leading the press to wonder if we had prior knowledge of his bout with transfer fever.

Know jj nixed the possibility of this happening, just thought it was an interesting bit of info
