Saw this on Facebook a while back. Little lad who supports West Ham just recently passed Aswell.

Horrible.

I've seen an article that says he's received over 28,000 cards and 75 parcels.

My faith in humanity has been restored.

He has received thousands of cards now. Overwhelming and somewhat bewildering for him and his family and he will never read them all.

It's a lovely gesture but I can't help thinking that the cost of all those cards and the postage could have gone to a children's cancer charity.

But he'll go happy - something that's overlooked and undervalued. And it's not like it's an "either/or" situation. I lost my mum to cancer and donate.

Sad story, my only hope is that his family can focus on the wonderful memories of the last year or so that gave this little boy and so many around him happiness.

Extremely sad. I am usually not moved by these types of cases but there was something about this kid and his general attitude to life that was really special. Always happy with a smile on his face.

Very sad. Even on SSN just now you can see the guy presenting with tears in his eyes, struggling to keep his emotions in.

Really sad, I watched the JD/Bournemouth press conference earlier and JD in tears made me well up. JD said he had days if that and then a few hours later I read that the little lad has died :(
