Have you noticed how some players in the Euros clap and applaud the intention of the pass/ throughball even if it's execution is not great? Well I've noticed it a lot, and generally its in teams which have a good team spirt. Now Keano rarely appluads the intention but often berates the execution. He vocalises his disapproval and I do not think that is conducive to a good team spirit.
seriously, if we can get 20 million and Crouch for him, take the deal and sell Crouch and you're sitting on about 30 million pounds. Do it now!
Given our apparent interest in Capel for the LW position, it could well be that Dos Santos plays as the support striker for Berbatov/Bent/any other target man we buy. This would leave Keano on the bench and as much as he loves the club, we all know from previous occurrences he wouldn't like it too much! If this story were true :shrug:/:bs:, I could see the proposal interesting all parties. Keano's good but he's not world-class and £20m would be a good return, IMO. And as PT says, after 6 years at the club he may want a change for a bigger club despite his close ties with the club.
Noodles said:Only a real act of divine intervention can stop Berba going , Levy is gutted about Keanes request to be allowed to leave for Liverpool ..... i hope there is a plan B ... tough times ahead could be the richest Club in mid table again at this rate.... so much for Robbie loves his Spurs. not spin not anti Keano .... whats actually going down.
It would seem to me that Rafa is playing the game. He's not after Robbie. He's trying to destabilize us. Without money, they are the most susceptible to falling out of the top four. So far they have played this game with Villa and us, two teams that will challenge four their spot. The other team is Everton and they can't really do anything about that. So this sniffs of an effort to cause a rift withing the team. I don't think most are stupid enough to fall for it, lease of all Robbie. After all he's played at Inter, who are as big as those dirt poor Scousers.
David Kerslake Presents said:Whether you believe my occasional info about Spurs or not, I can assure you that there is less than 0% of Keane leaving. Not only does he absolutely love the club - and let me assure you, he does - he is very ''in'' with every level of Spurs boardmembers, including the chairman. Of all summer speculation, this is one to ignore.
I think the story says Liverpool will offer Crouch as part of a deal worth £20m - not £20m AND Crouch. And given Liverpool's high valuation of Crouch, I'd imagine that means they would only be offering around £8m in cash.
Apparently Levy is gutted at Keane's request to go there....according to noodles
