Have you noticed how some players in the Euros clap and applaud the intention of the pass/ throughball even if it's execution is not great? Well I've noticed it a lot, and generally its in teams which have a good team spirt. Now Keano rarely appluads the intention but often berates the execution. He vocalises his disapproval and I do not think that is conducive to a good team spirit.

That's just not so. He frequently - as in several times every match - gives a teammate a quick nod and clap for a thoughtful attacking pass. That teammate is usually Berbatov. He also whinges for Ireland and, unlike Berbatov, his whinging is usually directed at someone else, not at himself. But he compliments his teammates just as much as anyone.

seriously, if we can get 20 million and Crouch for him, take the deal and sell Crouch and you're sitting on about 30 million pounds. Do it now!

I think the story says Liverpool will offer Crouch as part of a deal worth £20m - not £20m AND Crouch. And given Liverpool's high valuation of Crouch, I'd imagine that means they would only be offering around £8m in cash.

Given our apparent interest in Capel for the LW position, it could well be that Dos Santos plays as the support striker for Berbatov/Bent/any other target man we buy. This would leave Keano on the bench and as much as he loves the club, we all know from previous occurrences he wouldn't like it too much! If this story were true :shrug:/:bs:, I could see the proposal interesting all parties. Keano's good but he's not world-class and £20m would be a good return, IMO. And as PT says, after 6 years at the club he may want a change for a bigger club despite his close ties with the club.

Keane is a much better player than Dos Santos.

And we're not getting David Villa. Get over it.

It would seem to me that Rafa is playing the game. He's not after Robbie. He's trying to destabilize us. Without money, they are the most susceptible to falling out of the top four. So far they have played this game with Villa and us, two teams that will challenge four their spot. The other team is Everton and they can't really do anything about that. So this sniffs of an effort to cause a rift withing the team. I don't think most are stupid enough to fall for it, lease of all Robbie. After all he's played at Inter, who are as big as those dirt poor Scousers.

I'm one who can't say goodbye for Robbie Keane even if their offer £40m plus Crouch .. He is our next legend and one of fans favourite players who can be an example for any Sputs wouth player in the future.

I'm shocked some of you would swap him for £20m easily .. you can say these millions could be vital for our future .. but the fact you don't know where these millions will be paid ?( another Bent ) .. Is that player will shine ? can we get him alongside Keane instead of selling him ? the fact £20m would only help us to sign one star and i don't understand selling our best player for other star who we don't know would love it here or do like Berbatov who would like to leave for CL football or what Ronaldo did with Man utd .. Robbie love it here and he would love to stay here until the end of his career and he isn't less than very good player in EPL.

just remember when he was sent off against Bolton (4-1) season 2006-2007 in first half. He left the pitch like legends ..

btw .. News of the World isn't not good source .. about 1 1/2 year ago they reported we want Campbell back

theres no way we can get rid of keane...im stil sure berba is on the off, and if keane goes we'd be up the creek without a paddle looking for 2 world class strikers...it just doesnt make any sense. we can only allow one to leave and that one looks like berba to be honest...he's been on his way out for a year now. Keane loves Spurs and has always said he's settled here, with the vice-captain/captain role to add to his settledness i cant see him leaving to play in an uncertain position for the scousers, even if he does support them!
Stay Keane, stay!!

Only a real act of divine intervention can stop Berba going , Levy is gutted about Keanes request to be allowed to leave for Liverpool ..... i hope there is a plan B ... tough times ahead could be the richest Club in mid table again at this rate.... so much for Robbie loves his Spurs. not spin not anti Keano .... whats actually going down.

If, and its a big if, we lose Keane, then i'd like us to sign Saviola. He doesn't feature in Schusters plans for Real Madrid, but was a big fan favourite at Barcelona. He was excellent when on loan at Sevilla, alongside Kanoute, and under Ramos. I'm sure Ramos could resurrect his career again. He's still only 26, and alongside a big target man, he is a top class striker.

Whether you believe my occasional info about Spurs or not, I can assure you that there is less than 0% of Keane leaving. Not only does he absolutely love the club - and let me assure you, he does - he is very ''in'' with every level of Spurs boardmembers, including the chairman. Of all summer speculation, this is one to ignore.

I couldnt tell from the story, but I'd still do it for 20 mil cash. Liverpool can keep Crouch.

I hope Robbie stays, but if he wants to go, then if we were to buy Bentley as well then I'd take £12m plus Crouch, no danger

It'd mean effectively getting Crouch plus Bentley (more or less as I think £12m will be something like Bentley's price - maybe with a few of the famous add-ons) for Keane - a good deal I reckon

Alternatively a straight £22m for RK would be fine too :)

Firstly the story is the biggest pile of manure going

Secondly I dont want crouch, not to replace berbs or keane, and not even to replace Bent right now.

Crouch is good if you play a certain way, which someone like Harry Redknapp would - high lofted balls to the back stick, see if crouch can knock them down to someone.

We are better than that. Keane is worth so much more to us in everything he does, look at how many he scores, how many he creates, how he leads by example, then look at how crouch struggles against quality opposition, how much of a form player he is, and how one dimensional.

Story is rubbish, lets all forget about it and close this thread, and talk about something that is loosely based in reality

Apparently Levy is gutted at Keane's request to go there....according to noodles

:bang:

This is why you cannot believe what that ****s says most of the time. There is no way that Poodle would know this info.

The guy is just an attention seeker. Borderline troll.
