If it's true, I don't blame Keane for wanting to go. He's always been open about the fact that he's a huge Liverpool fan and always has been, and who wouldn't want to go and play in the CL for his boyhood club?

The whole '40 games at Spurs, 20 games at Liverpool' thing makes me laugh. First of all, it's bollocks. Do you know just how many times Keane was subbed after an hour of matches last season? He was royally fucked off at how often it happened, despite him often playing 10 times better than Berbatov who would inevitably be left on. Second, if I was playing for Villa 40 times a season, and I heard Spurs were after me but I'd probably play only half as much, I'd cut off my right bollock to go to Spurs. I fucking love Spurs and would give anything to play even 1 minute for the club, so why people assume Keane doesn't have the same level of passion for Liverpool I don't know.

Finally, ironically, if we were to play with Modric, Dos Santos and Bentley (pure speculation obviously) as three attacking midfielders behind a lone striker next season, I think Bent would fill the role perfectly, much better than keane or Berbatov, as he is far more direct than either of them, which is exactly what that position and formation needs from the striker.

This is why you cannot believe what that ****s says most of the time. There is no way that Poodle would know this info.

The guy is just an attention seeker. Borderline troll.

If you want to continue accessing this forum, cut the personal abuse. You wont get another warning.

Harry Hotspur is saying the following on the subject: -

"There's been some real toot flying around this transfer window and the 'Robbie Keane to Liverpool' story is just about the icing on an increasingly inedible cake. It's less likely than Alan Hansen letting his eyebrows grow. Yes, Hansen. You look like you've a pair of Charlie Chaplin moustaches floating on your forehead.

A source close enough to Keane himself has told me that when he broached the subject he was swiftly told to "feck off" and the subject changed.

To wit, it is an extraordinary thought to believe that Berbatov would turn down a transfer to anyone, even Colchester United if his sole playmaker soul mate was doing 'the off.' This is another pile of pants aka Keane for Crouch re-writ for the masses. "

Could I just ask everyone to read PT's and my posts in the Discussion thread in order to re-acquaint themselves with SC policy? Question the info by all means, but don't start hurling abuse.

Yeah, even though i laughed when i first heard this story, the more i actually thought about it, it became more and more ridiculous. To think that the player who worked so hard to talk Woodgate into a move to Spurs, just 6 months ago. A player who, only a few weeks ago, said that he was happy at Spurs and glad to have a summer where he isn't linked with a move away, for a change. Then more recently, he tries his harddest to talk his friend, and guest at his wedding, Dunne, to join the club. All of a sudden, he decides he wants to leave? I must stop thinking about it now, before i cause myself a hernia.

Has anyone mentioned that this rubbish about Keano wanting to leave and go to Liverpool is absolutely ridiculous?

Yes?

Oh good. Right, as you were then.

laugh now. cry later.
http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/forum/ff-football-forum/55647-chris-bascombe-75.html

pasted by Dave Usher, owner of the Liverpoolway website and personal friend of Gerrard and Carragher.

"Keane has the same agent as Gerrard and Carra (and Downing). He was at the opening of Cafe Sports a few months ago, I wonder if this was being discussed as far back as then? It's certainly been going on for a while.

This coming out now will give Keane the chance to go to Spurs and say 'what's all this Liverpool stuff then?'. If it hadn't made the papers, he couldn't say anything without it looking like we'd tapped him up.

People can dismiss it because it was in the NOTW, but we are in for him. I hope we get him, I think he's class."

That's sooooo believable...

Also, Pele, who has the same agent as Keano, Gerrard and Carra is coming out of retirement to play for Liverpool.

Also, Ossie, Ricky Villa and Marandona, who have the same agent as Keano, Gerrard and Carra, are all coming out of retirement to play for Spurs as part of the Keano to Liverpool deal.

Also, I was the stunt-dick for Peter North, who has the same agent as Gerrard, Keano and Carra, in all of his movies.

Unless Bus Conductor has already offered I will personally come over from Sydney and drive Keane to Liverpool myself.

Portsmouth offered £9m for Crouch which was rejected, so may be he is valued £10m at Liverpool, and according to these reports, Liverpool would offer a deal worth of £20m and Coruch involved in the deal .. let's say £10m plus Crouch ..

then, do you think Ramos will accept Crouch ? For sure Crouch doesn't fit into Ramos system, and I'm sure Ramos will only like for top 4 quality and that's why he said he rejected 8-9 names in winter.

btw, I'm sure Bentiez would love to sell Crouch to Pompy and use these £10m to get his home-land players like David Silva or David Villa. I'm sure he would like them more than Robbie Keane

as i said before, the news of the world is poor source, don't believe them .

Michael Carrick was at Keano's wedding. He's obviously coming back to Spurs.

I'm seeing all the signs, Keane has been known to make helicopter signage in his waving of hands moments, perhaps a move to Liverpool means he could commute over the Irish sea to and from Anfield in a helicopter on a daily basis, after all Sir Les has one.

IF we were to sell Keano - and I hope we wouldn't - I wouldn't want that long streak of piss Crouch in exchange. If they value the deal at £20m then tell them we want £20m or they can go jump.

I reckon we ought to do a Boro and start leaking our interest in Torres to the papers.
