Kind of but Bobby was more proven when we signed him and seemed like he cared more and was a nicer chap hence why I think the fans liked him more than Redroof and wanted him to succeed more too.
Oh I don't know. I thought we were getting one half of the Rebrov-Shevchenko partnership. This was not long after they has massacred Barcelona in the Nou Camp.

Then again Steffen Iverson did it as well.

It truly is the hope that kills you.

It simply comes down to the fact that Ade is a complete twat whilst Soldado appears to be a stand up guy, who went about his business like a pro and not like a petulant teenage girl. Not weird in the slightest really.

Petulant teenage girl...I don't think so. Soldado bottled it end of story.

Being played as a lone striker with two inverted wingers at the beginning did nothing for his confidence.

But he had plenty of time to make an impact and he just couldn't do it.

The failure really lies in the recruitment. Ill suited to Premier League pace and physicality and surrounded by players that didn't complement him.

Wish we could have persuaded him to stick around untill the summer. Would have loved to see him get on the end of a few Trippier crosses.

Jesus wept, reading this, you would think this guy captained us to the double in his 14th season at the club .... he is not marrying your daughter or your sister or unless I missed it he didn't pull anyone's dog out of a burning house. So couldn't careless if he was a decent chap.
I do care about what he did in a Spurs shirt and on that front he was nothing but a very well paid abject failure.
I wish him well back in Spain but ........ next pls

I'll really miss the awful puns on his name: Soldudo; Nogoaldado. Soldildo and so on.

I'm not crying over his departure though quite honestly.

Seems like a nice lad. Glad its over though, just never worked out and was never going too.

Fare thee well, cult of Bobby Soldier.

Soldado posted on Twitter: "Back to La Liga! These have been two difficult years for me, but I wouldn’t change this experience for anything in the world.
"I'm very sorry for not having been able to meet the expectations that Tottenham had placed on me in the way I would have liked, I felt at home from the first day. I can only give many thanks to Tottenham for allowing me to represent the best club in England."

Oh come on. The 100% effort every game is such a myth.

Could have very easily sacked it off after a few missed chances. Key thing is he was there to miss them. Not sulcking on the 18 yard box.

I can expect failure...but I can't accept not trying.

Such a Gentleman and a true Professional. Hope he gets back to his scoring best again!!! Thank You Soldado!!! I'm, sure the youngsters in the Club learnt a thing or two about being Professional player from you! May the Club and Soldado continue to have a great relationship going into the future!

Have you ever met either of them?

Ohh come off it! I'm perfectly entitled to form an opinion on a player I haven't met, if we're not then I suggest everybody stops posting all together. It's clear as day that Ade and Soldado are on polar opposites of the "professional" spectrum.
