Ohh come off it! I'm perfectly entitled to form an opinion on a player I haven't met, if we're not then I suggest everybody stops posting all together. It's clear as day that Ade and Soldado are on polar opposites of the "professional" spectrum.

You can form an opinion but it won't be accurate as you don't know either of them.

Redknapp
"Ade is not the trouble-maker people think he is. He trains hard and enjoys the game but having fallen out of favour, he needs to kickstart his career now. "

Mourinho
"Adebayor is here because he belongs to us,’ said Mourinho, who took time out to chat to Eriksson before kick-off.

‘He worked at Real Madrid for six months and went to the heart of everybody. Everybody loves him."

You've taken gossip and formed an opinion on it.

The funniest thing here is that you believe Red knap and Mourinho

Not the best character references are they

But believing sports journalists and football fans is fine? I work in Surrey and have to listen to "United" fans tell me how Ade only plays well for a contract. When I've stopped yawning I then have to sit there trying to bite my tongue because it's really not worth trying to argue with the sheep who have formed an opinion based on what they read on the internet.

Could have very easily sacked it off after a few missed chances. Key thing is he was there to miss them. Not sulcking on the 18 yard box.

I can expect failure...but I can't accept not trying.

Sacked what off? There's a big difference between being on the end of chances in the Europa league to giving 100% every time he put the shirt on. Nobody is denying he is professional but he scored something like 2 or 3 goals from open play in 2 seasons in the league. That's awful however you look at it and there is nothing to suggest he was giving 100% every time nor given another season he would "come good" as others seem to believe.

And yet here you are, trying to influence peoples opinions. On the internet :p

This place would be pretty quiet were it any other way ;)

I would be delighted to get 8m for him
May be not such a deal. I believe that players' contracts are amortised over their lifetime. So if we signed him for £26m for four years, his value on the books would be £13m after two years, so £8m would mean a loss of £5m on the whole deal (excluding the fact he was generally a waste of space and got one Prem goal last season).

Let's hope N'Jie is up for the fight that is the PL.

They've managed him and gave these interviews after he left. No reason to be nice about him.

The funniest thing is you take as gospel the gossip you read on the Internet.

I'm debating with people that are more likely to have a sufficient knowledge on the subject to make it worthwhile. There's a difference between a forum and the daily mail comments section.

Nice fella tried hard but didn't work out unfortunately. I think there's still a good striker in there somewhere, you don't score 30+ goals in La Liga 2-3 seasons in a row and not be a good player. He didn't really suit our team and managers styles or the premier league and then it just became a confidence issue which is pivital for any striker.

I loved it when he got that goal vs Everton but that pass when he was through on goal in the Europa league was the final nail in the coffin. Glad he's gone now as wouldn't have added any value this season but really hope he does well for Villereal.

Bye bye Bobby. COYS

He will probably get 20 league goals this season.

Let's not forget the personal family problems he had after signing for us and the amount of upheaval and transition that has gone on behind the scenes. Probably the most we have seen in the last 10 years.

He has also seen the emergence of a young club talisman play in his position making his opportunities in the first team even more limited even if he had found some form. He gave his all throughout even though it was becoming clear that it would be best for all parties if he moved on.

Still he never complained and acted in a dignified way until he moved. Best of luck Bobby... I'm sorry it didn't work out.
