Bloody hell, some of you lot are going on like he is the messiah. He has done well in the past, at one club. He may do well at Liverpool, but that remains to be seen. It certainly isn't guaranteed.
2 clubs

That's why he got the Dortmund job

You can guarantee that they've already spoken to several possible replacements and have someone who will step in. That person may not be their number one choice but you can bet they have someone ready if negotiations with Klopp or Ancelotti hit a wall.

I'd love to know who that could be.

As much as try to say Klopp cannot do wonders, I know he is better than Rodgers by a mile - by definition that would mean Liverpool would have a far better future under Klopp than Rodgers.

I am very happy with the direction we are going under Pochettino. Potentially, as a manager he could be on par with Klopp's work at Dortmund. But its about progression. When the time comes, can our club back our manager in transfer market ?

I guess, this is where we will see the difference between the 2 clubs. I fear, we will be stagnated while Liverpool will improve. Once Liverpool gets a stranglehold of top4, I fear its going to be even more difficult for us.

The question isn't about being a better manager it is about finding the right fit.

A manager like Allardyce who is big on discipline and structure will do well at a Championship side or lower Prem club but probably isn't suited to a top side. Same as a manager like Mourinho might find the deficiencies in lower quality players too hard to work with but give him top quality players and he delivers titles where others failed.

I like where we are going with Poch. I feel he is a good fit for the club.

Posters here have posed potential positives and negatives to Klopp's imminent taking over of Liverpool. Won't really know until he starts.

Talking about right fit - I do feel the over the top emotional Klopp will suit them perfectly. Rodgers tried the sentimental stuffs but it was artificial & people could see through it. But with Klopp, it will be natural. I fear he could very well be their missing link all these years

I feel you might be right.

From the sounds of it the job at Dortmund was very different to the task at Liverpool. That doesn't mean it is a guaranteed failure but puts an element of doubt there.

Certainly interested to see how he does.

Rodgers wasnt sacked, he was replaced. There is no way they would have sacked Rodgers now if Klopp had now been available. News must have come to their ears that Klopp was back on the market and they spoke to him, he said why not and they sacked Rodgers.

Regarding our next game, the thing that worries me the most is no Eric Dier, nevermind Klopp.

Gonna make a prediction that Großkreutz will be a Liverpool player under Klopp's reign. Pretty much the German Milner

"It would be a dream to play for Liverpool at some point. England is a dream for any footballer."

I liked Klopp but really want him to fail and Liverpool to fail. Merely because of the media and ex-Liverpool fans reaction and starting to say how great Liverpool will be again.
