Let's be honest: no-one really thought that Alli would come into our first team this year and make the impact he has, so Scousers seeing him only as an u21 prospect is no great surprise. We, and him, were lucky that injuries allowed him the opportunity to show what he could do and, give him credit, he has grabbed it with both hands.

Would be interesting to know what we were paying him prior to his recent new contract and subsequent increase - I would be surprised if we were paying him much more than £4k.

Serves them right for having American owners. They should have stuck to rounders and netball/

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
We could have Suarez, but Harry thought he would be occupying the same role as Van der Vaart and decided to pass, and Liverpool got him.
Now it's Return Karma.

Thing is, if he'd gone to Liverpool he would still only be an under 21 prospect.
