Sound very positive to me. And good work by Koeman.

He's getting Southampton's name linked with a Spurs player, so when we come back on deadline day, he can use the excuse of a swap deal to sell Scheiderlin.

He'd be buying a player that can change the game (which they're lacking) and selling one in a position he's got lots of cover for. So their fans let him off for selling a player he said he wouldn't.

Or am I just reading too much in to this?

I had the same thought as I clicked the link. I spent last night watching the game and looking for a reason to get rid of any one of the plausible departees. Townsend seemed busy but did not click with the team for me.

He probably saw Townsend last night and told his Chairman to put the cheque book away. He is awful i am afraid, runs into blind allys, loses the ball all the time, breaks down decent moves etc. I really cant see how anybody rates him.

he had an odd look of resignation on his face last night whenever i saw the camera pan to him, like he new the game was up so im assuming that hes been told he can go.
I wouldnt bet against him being a last minute Arry special!

Imo his biggest problem is he just hasn't got a football brain and I dont think you can teach someone to make the right decisions quickly.
Shame because he has got fantastic pace and fairly good ball control but jeez is he frustrating.
I wonder if any of the team last night were thinking 'ffs don't pass to him he'll lose it'.
I was lol.

I think you may be. It seems like Stambouli might be on his way from France?

Latest ITK says that Soton won't let us have MS as we don't want to sell AT. Looks like Poch thinks that he is coachable to be something better.
