Southgate is encouraging the players to talk to the press. Don't think it's Danny fault if they decide to use his stories more than others. It's not like he's called a press conference to announce how overwhelmed he's been. Unless he did of course:inpain:

Having suffered from depression in the past, it was really good to hear any of our players speaking candidly about their depression problems, and as Danny says, the amount of support from the public has been 'overwhelming', so much that he will be speaking more to the public on the topic. (So @Dougal, yeah, their will be more...) I think it's all good. IMO.

It wasn’t in any way a comment on depression, more him having the press on speed dial.

I’m referring to his previous. Fair enough of you’ve missed it but it was a big deal at the time.

at the time none of us fans where pleased about that interview, but like Rose I'm a sufferer of it, have done most of my life to be honest. I know sometimes it won't show in my post, but when I'm having a bad day, I'll post a lot less. Your head is so scrambled at times, you do and say things, you later regret yourself.
