I’m not sure what I’d be more insulted at if I was Barkley:

  • Conte making a statement about being sick of low value austerity signings on the day he signs
  • Conte describing the Barkley signing as ‘a good investment’
  • Conte not being bothered to turn up for his official presentation (don’t even know who this lady is)

Welcome to Chelsea

I'm not best pleased at ENIC or Levy at the moment, but the bold part above and most of the post is basically describing exactly what an investment is. You invest expecting a return. I'm not saying the club is doing it out of the kindness of its heart.
I’m not disagreeing but I’m not an investor I’m a customer of the business and as such I’m not going to defend the actions of the owners I’m simply going to ask for a quality product to be delivered in line with the pricing determined by the owners of the business.

This is a guess, but possibly Marina Granovskaia (or whatever her name is)? (Abramovich's right-hand woman, so she's probably just as unpleasant and untrustworthy as anyone else at Scumford Bridge.)
Edit:a little research this morning showed that is Granovskaia with Barkley. The player himself doesn't exactly look thrilled about being there, does he?

Sorry, can't copy & paste the whole article on my ipad but is this the "don't mention this issue" that @Hercules alluded to???

Wouldnt surprise me if something along those lines had happened. However, I don't believe that he never had any intention of joining us. I think he probably would've come to us had he not been injured but given the nature of it maybe he wants to cash in while he still can cos he knows he's not going to have much of a career now

Fit, silky and lots of stamina. Barkley isn't a bad player either

Barkley probably won't get a snif of the grass at Chelsea while Conte is there. It's just Chelsea adding a bit more to their 800 million pound debt and signing a player to stop others from doing it.
The corruption angle sounds very Bolshevik, very Abramovich, very Chelsea!

I've got no sympathy for Everton. They publicly tried to force him out of the club when he refused to sign a new contract, they failed to negotiate a price with us in the summer and they've caved in to Chelsea at the start of this window. They've had ample opportunity to negotiate a fair price so if they aren't happy it's down to them.

Isn't it equally as gullible to believe a blog post written by a Spurs fan with no proof of anything?
Not actually talking about any blog. I'm talking about Levy calling to change the mind of a player who ends up signing for the club he supposedly left hanging.

I don't think that Chelsea have been corrupt there if that is the case.

It sounds like someone there was being canny.

Why should they pay a load of extra money to Everton who are a money club themselves nowadays.
