Big thing here is the fact he's homegrown, Chelsea may just throw him more game time now to meet the HG quota. Alternatively they have a history of loaning out players to raise profile, then selling them, question (that's obviously been done to death) is would it be to us, but the point is, I'm not so sure he's not for sale?

My Chelsea supporting son .

You should take a good long look at yourself for allowing that to happen.

Shame on you.

I doubt we have a chance with RLC, though genuine interest. The football fraternity is very ‘lodge-ish’. It gets around that you are refusing to deal with certain clubs, for whatever reason. It then begins to backfire on you (Chavs), and you find out you don’t have the support of your fellow members. There are already a very strong dislike to everything Chav, within the walls of the elite.

Dear to say, that I am sure there is a lot of glee and gloating. Everyone is watching how they treat and deal with their fellow members in the pursuit of one of their own players.
I guess all there is to say about their current situation is...

...Thank you Vladimir

I would fucking love this guy. He is going to be a massive player. If we are going to spunk 40m quid on a CM, this is the lad. He needs to play deeper and use his passing range. Poch will turn him into a monster. We should be looking at spending on quality and not waste time on the N’Dombelbeys of this world.

40m? Forget it - you get nothing for that these days.

Can see them wanting more

The chavs are having cash flow issues. I can see DL doing a deal if they are prepared to do business with us.

Are they actually though? I doubt it frankly

I think it's more likely to be that RA is having "giving a shit" issues. Wouldn't surprise me if they struggled to find money for transfers without his help, what with the amount of compensation they dish out to managers seemingly every other season suggesting that they're far from 'responsible' with money. Also no CL football again.

I would love to sign him...

But...

Some how I get the feeling we are being used by another agent to get his player a nice big contract and some (most likely cup) football. I don't see Chelsea doing any business with us unless it's for someone they want off their books.

Don’t think Levy would even waste his time pursuing this. They just wouldn’t ever sell to us - not like we’d be the only willing buyers for Loftus-Cheek, so why would any alleged money desperation mean they’d suddenly forget about the bad blood between us?

Maybe we're trying to show that Aulas guy that we have other options than N'Dombele. For some reason he seems desperate to sell Fekir and N'Dombele but is also trying to play hardball. He was even name dropping Jose Mourinho today, like he's trying to scare Liverpool (and maybe us) into acting quickly.

He is probably the ideal Dembele replacement. He’s already a good player. But I think with Poch, he could be something special. Of all the (realistic) targets we’ve been associated with this summer, he’s the one i am most excited about. Our team is crying out for a player like him against bus parkers. And if Grealish worked out, we would also have a guy who can break teams down with a key pass. If we ended the window with just these two I’d actually be very content. (I should preface this by saying it’s contingent on Toby staying. Of course should he leave a replacement would be critical too)

Aulas is famously very open about transfer dealings, much like Napoli's president. This comes off more as Aulas being Aulas than him playing mindgames, although you never know. Lyon seem reluctant to sell either player but in Ndombele's case they'll sell if their asking price is met (with Fekir they don't want to sell but if Fekir asks to leave, like he did with the LFC move, they'll agree to sell him).

Didn’t Aulas publicly state he’d never deal with Levy again after the Lloris deal, saying basically that Levy was an animal & too difficult to deal with?

Edit: ok not in as many words. Maybe he’s cooled down after 6 years ?

It’s been very, very difficult. I’ve got 25 years of experience as a president of a club and it’s our 16th participation in a European competition in a row. But this is very rare in the football world. The negotiation with the Tottenham directors has been the hardest I have ever had to undergo in these 25 years.

Can't see this at all, I just think Chelsea will be generally scrutinised massively for selling such a young English talent and scrutinised even more for selling him to the team they seemingly hate the most.

If they sell him the rest of their academy have no chance, would just send out a very bad message.
