As long as we put up a good fight and don't get gubbed like we did 6 weeks ago i won't mind what the result is. I hope someone sticks one on Percy though, the flash git, all blonde hair and spray on tan.

We weren't expected to win it when it started, but here we are in the final. I just hope the team doesn't get pilloried if we do lose.

In my heart I would love for our guys to win it again and make history as the first team to win it back to back...but in my head...I think we won't.

I just hope that the guys put up a really good fight like Monty said.

I have been thinking the same since we qualified from the groups - let's just not disgrace ourselves against Australia, then against France. But now - we can almost touch it can't we.

In my mind we still don't know how S Africa can cope under sustained pressure in this tournament.

my feelings are that if we make it so so tough for the south africans we have a great chance

im not really expecting a win to be totally honest

no doubt we will be way better than in that 36-0 humiliation

But can we put them under sustained pressure. They have the players that can relieve all the pressure put on them, that's probably why we've never seen them under the cosh. They have flying wingers, a huge man in the line out and a man who can kick as good as our Jonny.

Here's hoping though ......

True, Ama we don't know, but if i remember last time we put there scrum under pressure in the pool match and they began to crack a little that could give us an edge, but we need to be on our kicking game, otherwise we will be punished by Monty, James, Steyn and of course deny space and time to the likes of Habana, Peterson and Fourie Du Preez.

I said from the start that the Boks will win the W/C, and still think they will, I just hope the occasion gets the better of them and they choke and freeze.

completely agree with you. we did have an edge in the scrum during the pool game - i am hoping that the confidence the England front row must now be playing with makes this edge even greater.

and the tactical kicking game is critical - the kick, the chase and then the first up hits

and Monty i think the reason we have never seen them under the cosh is because they have played against shit - the Argies were knackered and froze, Fiji were able to demolish them at times but lacked the killer mentality and control and the pool games were just a walk in the park.

The other thing that worries me is, i can't see the likes of Shaw and Kay, Corry getting much change out of Matfield, Bakkies Botha, Juan Smit in the line-out, which is where a lot of the Boks attacks stem from, we have to distrupt it somehow, last thing we need is ball of the top and Du Preez to weave his magic like he did in the pool game.

just keep doign what we have been doing as we have a chance, though seeing how we were being tiped not to even make it out the group, making the final is one hell of a turn around and cant be overlooked if we lose!!

if we close them down, give them no room to run and make it physical we have a chance, lets just hope Wilko can put on his kicking boots for this game!

It's the England rugby team Monty, not Spurs

To be fair, I wouldn't have been surprised if they'd got knocked out in the pool stage. Great effort.

fought hard, made sa look very ordinary, but it wasn't our day...officials weren't on our side and we needed everything to go our way, not have tries disallowed at key moments

Unlucky England, they can go home with their heads held high. I hope the media tomorrow and on Monday don't go on about the disallowed try. Yes it was the wrong decision but mistakes get made. Catt was right to state to the ref that he thought it was a try and left it at that. We don't want to look like sore losers like New Zealand and the aussies.

A special mention has to go out to Brian Ashton. He took over during one of England's darkest periods and gave the team and it's fans passion and belief. Roll on the Rugby World Cup in 2011.

Once again, well played lads, the football team could learn a thing or two from you.

Im not sure about that disallowed try, i think his toe hit the line.

Played well, too many silly fouls given away and the SA's defence was just too good. Not making the fouls meant we couldn't get the 3 points.

and did anyone see the French manager (if he hasn't been sacked yet, and i think it was him) break the cup? No wonder france went out with handeling like that

Gutted. I loved every minute of the England's World Cup march but it just wasn't to be. I dont think it was a try but like others have said...not going to blame this on the ref or anything.

6 years time and I plan on being a starter for England. My dream.

 I saw that too. They really shouldn't allow children to get involved in these sorts of things because they will always screw it up.

Im not sure about that disallowed try, i think his toe hit the line.

It was a try, Cueto lifted up his left foot at the last minute. His leg hit the line after he had already put the ball down.

The only good thing to have come out of today was my 'Quins beating Wasps.
