I don't want to start another pro Jol / anti Jol thread, but he was a good manager that was badly treated. Nevertheless, my point is that he had to buy players that (Naybet, Berbatov and Davids aside) we had rarely heard of...Tainio, Stalteri, Lee, Kaboul, Taraabt, Ghaly etc etc. Ramos is buying "proven" international players now, Modric, Pavlyuchenko, Bentley, Gomes...

The buying quality has moved up a notch, so he generally now has better tools than Jol. Lets see what he does.

I would not say that Bentley is anywhere near being an internationally proven player.

Everything was wrong yesterday, everyones saying it and we were pish! However, even thinking about sacking the manager is totally stupid. Its that type of reaction that keeps getting us into these situations and which we will never progress from. Let Ramos get on with it. Someone on here said about Ramos not 'getting' the premiership. Ramos appears to be an intelligent coach and i am very sure he will start to 'get' the premiership!
We have a bad habit of having to spend money every transfer window and totally disrupting the team with major changes, rather than building a strong core of the team and then blending minor changes when needed. If we sack Ramos then we'll have to start all over again.
The team have to start getting to know each others play. The more they play together, they will get that experience.
We also must find a replacement for King. When he plays he is awesome, however, we need regular players to get consitency especially along the back four.
We have the basis of a really good team but Ramos has to find the system that they will play well in as well as playing the players in their best position.
We are bottom, but Manure are only a win away so if we can get on a winning run...

quite simply I was embarassed to be a Spurs fan last night absolutely played off the park by Villa after spending circa £100m in 2 seasons that is an absolute disgrace ............ they are all culpable including Ramos with the ridiculous selection choices .......leaving Bentley out then playing him on the left when he comes on, picking Modric on the left and not in the middle, playing Huddlestone and Bent at all.
Only player spared any criticism for me would be Bale.

As for Gomes...........blind man could see he has this cock up syndrome in his game we better get used to it.
Corluka..........I think oh dear just about sums it up.
Pavlebollocks........cant see him pulling up trees in the EPL.

We have gone from the ingenuinity of Keane and Berbatov to zero creativity and long balls.

forgetting the score and run of results I dont think I have ever felt so low watching a Spurs team and I have been doing that for a pretty long time now.

Looking at the match last night, we were passing the ball, but getting no where. Zokora always goes backwards. We were rubbish, but when we pass the ball we can be good, but too much like Arsenal trying to pass it into the net. Dont want to be like Arsenal, unless its Levy doing what they did, and sticking with a manger

Who said anything about sacking the manager? I musthave missed that one.

No one...i said 'However, even thinking about sacking the manager is totally stupid. ', maybe i should've emphasised the thinking bit  but we have been on here long enough to know that i am sure that the thought has appeared in a few fickle supporters minds. He's already had his odds slashed ....ouch!
