    FREDERICKS IN BRENTFORD LOAN

    Posted 10 August 2012 2:43pm
Ryan Fredericks has joined League One side Brentford on loan for the season.
The young winger, 19, signed his first professional contract with us in July, 2010 and went on to make his first-team debut in our Europa League play-off against Hearts last season. He made three appearances in total last term including two starts against Hearts and Rubin Kazan and as a substitute against PAOK in the Europa League.

Be an interesting test for the lad. Also interested to see where they will play him.

started on the bench but came on in the 2nd half. They lost 1-0 away to Walsall and had a man sent off.

Came on for last 20 mins and the Brentford faithful semed to like what they saw - selected comments :

'Looked completely different today than his previous two substitute appearances... When he was thrown in at the deep end despite hardly having a training session with them team!

Though he looked direct, eager and pacey, which are great attributes for a winger and he seems to be the type of player who can quite easily alleviate pressure from our defense when under the cosh by giving the opposition something to worry about'

'What a good player he looked when he came on, looks like a very good option with pace and able to fo damage wide right or cutting in from the left.'

'Impressed when he came on and seems a good attacking outlet.'

'Superb cameo, really enjoyed watching him today'

'Looked very good and from what I saw today the most promising right winger ive seen at GP in a long long time'

'Well he was given his chance and I was rather impressed with what he showed off. Bags of pace, a bit of skill and caused a few problems for them.'

Looks like after the shaky start he had at Brentford (he had no training with them before being given his first appearance), he will now get some game time. Good news, he is a promising winger, but had an injury after last seasons Europa League appearances
