I'm sure like many have said we wish him a speedy recovery and back to full health but secondary to his health you have to wonder what this does to his career.

Wouldn't surprise me if he packs it in now. Clearly a young man's health is paramount and he would have made a tidy amount of money in his career. Also the mental scars could be worse than any physical ones.

Maybe not the most physical of players but this shows his 100% commitment to every challenge. Get well soon kid

People who suffer temporoparietal skull fractures generally make a full recovery; I'm not sure about the accuracy if the haemorrhage- a bit unusual based on themechanism of injury. if he didn't sustain one I would expect to see him back on the pitch next season looking like cech.

Get well soon Ryan

I felt sick seeing him writhing on the pitch, obviously in so much pain.

I hope he makes a full recovery following the surgery. They have said he is in a stable condition but it's bound to be a long time until he's fit again and I really hope we will see him playing again eventually.

Poor Ryan, what a dreadful thing to happen.

I was wincing just watching the clash of heads. Get well soon Ryan.

Nice to see Bellerin and Arsenal put old rivalries aside and wish him well. Karen Brady's probably out there tweeting about how he mispronounced his scream of pain.

I didn't watch the game but my heart sunk when I saw the headlines, hope he's able to make a full recovery.

He's been so unlucky with injuries. Poor lad.

I remember him getting our season going against Sunderland last season and if he hadn't got injured he may have stayed in the team and with the confidence received from the goal may be still be part of the squad or better.

I think we ought to give him a minute applause on the 8th minute against Wycombe to show our support.

If his playing days are over I will be extremely sad for him. I wish him a full recovery and happy life. it would be nice if either the BBC, Sky Sports or BT sport offer him some sort of role. he is such a nice smart, genuine lad and would probably make a great pundit.
I think Spurs should. He has a good brain on him and a great attitude. Can't think of many better suited to youth coaching. His attitude was infectious on the football pitch and the hard work he put in after all those injuries to break into the Spurs team and get capped for England makes him a perfect role model for our younger players.

Hopefully, however, he will have a long successful career before any talk of coaching.

Love this guy. My heart sunk hearing this.

He was Pochetinno's main man as Rose is currently now. He brought life back into Spurs.

Get well soon, Mase.

There is nothing in that statement that leads me to believe the situation is as critical as the mirror reported. We'll know for sure tomorrow, but Hull's social media team will have done a very bad job if that proves to be the case.
Thats harsh, stable simply means he is not getting worse. Head injuries can cause brain damage. Damage that can only be properly assessed in the days later. Even at a risk of serious injury or even death (fingers crossed) it would be irresponsible to report those possibilities, just as it would to say he will be making a full recovery. We will learn a lot more today what is happening.

My dad had a haemorrhage in 1995 and physically has made a full recovery. His short term memory is terrible. The brain is a funny thing, and on the ward at the Royal Free at the time, we met other families having similar issues. Most found that their loved one's personality changed slightly / drastically. We were the lucky ones.

What Mase has in his favour is that he is a young, fit man.

I think from memory Poch absolutely loved Mase. I think he helped instigate the dressing room coup against Kaboul, Adebayor, Capoue hat was threatening to drag us down in 2014. Model professional.

It's a bit different for an outfield player who is expected to head the ball quite often though.

Bet the Mirror got loads of clicks for their advertisers with that headline. If people really cared about this, don't buy it, visit the website and certainly don't post links to it. Disgusting rag.

Cristian Chivo (Inter Milan) wore one after fracturing his skull.
Lets not forget Gary Mabbutt similarly recovered from a skull fracture. I think he wore protective gear for some time, but eventually went without. However, considering the fracture was towards the eye socket I think it was a very different type of injury.

Sod getting back playing just get back on your feet out of a hospital bed.

Mason was one of the few who brought my love for the club back along with Kane. The ones who came through the academy and put 100% and more on the pitch. Shame he never got going here because of injury, really hope he gets back on his feet football or not.

I welled up when i saw him writhing in pain on the pitch. You know hes one of our own when you genuinely feel like crying when seeing him like that.

When the club came to Malaysia in 2015, he was one of those who sportingly volunteered to make the local food and drinks for charity purposes.

I love the young lad. Full of class and what a gentleman.

Get well soon Ryan. I pray for your full recovery. Come back to Spurs and we'll give you a great reception.
