Poch:

Ryan has been at the training ground in recent days. We have been talking to him with John McDermott. He will be successful in whatever he does. He will always be a special player for me. He represents for me this change in all when we arrived at Tottenham. The door is always open to help him, us, the coaching staff and the club because we love him. Don’t worry Ryan, you’re going to be a successful person outside of the club.

What a reassurance thing to say on this occasion, esp the last sentence.

It's good that we are offering him something. But from the player's perspective it's going to be really hard to be around the place so soon after 1. Being sold by us 2. Retiring from the game. He'll be facing seeing all his ex team mates training everyday. That's going to be pretty hard to face.

Nice from Poch nonetheless and I wouldn't expect anything less from him.

So sad for him. Said it many times and others did above but the goal at Forest went a long way in us turning the ship around. Played with passion and fight and it was sad to see him go. Let's hope he can achieve on a similar trajectory to Eddie Howe.

Such a shame, his career had already been impeded by injuries, wasn’t he a big prospect as a number 10 originally?

I really hope we offer him a coaching role once he’s ready for it, he spoke about coaching and clearly still loves the club plus he really bought in to poch’s ethos whilst here
