Good lad...just hope we all give him time, there's seems to be far to many Spurs fans writting Mason and Bentaleb off to early.

At least Mason has the decency to reconise his good fortune, So now we can wait for what Timmy Sherwood has to say about how he brought Mason through to the first team squad???

I think we, Spurs and our young lads owe a massive thank you to Sherwood for having the balls and the belief to put them in the first team to start with.
How many other managers would have done that rather than sticking with our failed expensive buys?
I don't believe anyone would have.
I know it's more popular on here to slate Sherwood but give credit where its due.
To be fair it could be argued Sherwood wouldn't have either had he not worked with them so much beforehand but fortunately for us he did and here we are.
Glad Poch continued that belief.

Not writing them off early, but I think there are far too many Spurs fans who think they are the error free, finished product already, when they in fact are still learning.

I'm saying that Sherwood has done some good things with our Academy players...but he is now self promoting... in that other managers have done similar yet do not constantly proclaim this as much as possible. Sherwood seems like he is trying to get accepted as a Premier League manager, and building his track record... Now at Villa he has to show what he claims he can do. So... if he does the same as when with us, over the next 3 years, then yes he can shout from the roof of Villa Park...

You contradict yourself with the last sentence: Pochettino did the very same thing, but also gave the others chances to prove themselves. He did this, despite the pressure he had from the stands and has continued without blowing his own trumpet; whereas, Sherwood has been Kenny Ball in that regard (WARNING: younger readers may need to look up last cultural reference).
