It's possible he may have agreed to sign the pro contract with a gentleman's agreement that Fulham accept our bid. Or there may even be a clause in there. Either way I'm sure he doesn't want Fulham to get fucked over with what they receive.
Yeah, in many ways I like this. He is a Fulham kid and if he feels he owes them then great. With the early paper reports of him signing a pro contract with FFC I was just worried that that kid was getting some shitty agent advice. Since he performed as an academy kid he had all the leverage. And to be advised to give all the leverage up by an agent seeking a payday would have been sad. Hope to see him in lilywhite though.

Tbh even if we paid £20m I wouldn't be too bothered it's a no brainer really .Even if he turns out slightly better than mason we'd get our money back .in all likelihood he will end up being a +£40m player

He played on the lw a fair bit this season, could easily replace nkoudou initially
I'm not slating the signing.Looks very good. Just probably not going to make us stronger next season. City are about to spend on transfers what it costs us for a new ground!

2nd half of season was much more a AM on left think that's what he is being viewed as but useful could also fill in if needed .Think he's very much in bale type player .so talented could play almost anywhere .

What's your point though? We know City and United will outspend us disgustingly. When you're fighting an impossibly strong enemy you don't just roll up for a pitch battle, you've got to be smarter and more cunning.

There's every chance Sessegnon will look as good a signing as Alli was in 12 months time.

If we do manage to sign Sessegnon this summer, an extra little bit of icing on the cake will be that he would be joining us before he turns 18, which would mean that if he subseqently stays with us until past the age of 21 then he will qualify as a Club Trained player as well as a Home Trained player, which doesn't do us any harm at all in ensuring we comply with regulations for European competition squad selections.
He's played 30 games for Fulham including 25 in the league. How in the world can one possibly be considered club trained if they're a first team regular like that already?

That is my point. He's a left back. Do you think he will replace rose and better than him in 12 Months time? He may be a good prospect,(based on fans watching 5 mins of YouTube) but he isn't going to strengthen us. Rose is the best left wing back in the league. We do need other areas strengthened

He's not a LB though. At this point it's difficult to say what his eventual strongest position will be. He's fearless though, beats people for fun, and has an eye for goal.

To me he's an ideal player to throw on for the last 20 mins of games against tired defenders.

Imo he's streets ahead of where bale was at same age .This kid has it all .
o_O Not sure I agree with the bolded bit. Bale was tearing it up at Southampton, and did the same in his first couple of games for us (at age 17, just like Sessegnon) before he got his first injury.

EDIT - that's not to say I don't think Sessegnon doesn't look like he'll be a monster, just think you're underselling how good Bale was.

People forget Bale's debut at Old Trafford where he dribbled round half the United side and rolled the ball just past the post. Early career could have been so different had it gone in.

How do you know what fans are basing their judgement on?
