I believe he gave more debuts than us. In fact i think it was one of the most in the prem. Will try to find it but difficult.

OK so I've found what you're on about after a bit of digging around, and basically right towards the end of the season there were 5 or 6 kids who were given a few minutes late in games and a couple of them got starts but that was right at the end of the season when Mourinho had pretty much sacked off the league and was focusing on winning the Europa League to get CL qualification because he knew 4th was gone. So technically, yes, he gave a lot of kids their debuts last season. But that's hardly the same as, for example, Pochettino who has consistently shown he's not afraid to give young players chances with an aim to making them first team regulars. Mourinho almost certainly has no intention of phasing these kids in to his team, he was just using them to give his proper players a rest in what he had deemed to be dead rubber games.

Anyway, my original point was that the poster above was claiming Klopp is a manager who has no interest in developing young players but that's not the case based on his history with Mainz and Dortmund.

Ok just think that if we are discussing things we should know all the facts first.

Didn't man utd give more starts to academy players than we did last season?

Injury crisis. Don’t you remember him crying to the press how it’s not fair that he only had £400m to spend and he could only afford 2 players.

N'Koudou going out on loan and Matt Targett going on loan to Fulham. 2+2=5?
Apparently Targett joining has nothing to do with Sess because they don’t have any decent options at LB and Sess has mainly been playing at LW.

We need to drag this deal over the line this month. As if he has a fantastic finish to the season it could mean we miss out

According to WhoScored, Sessegnon has played left-back 18 times this season, and only further forward in 7 games. In those 7 games he's played further forward he's scored 5 times so perhaps the Targett loan is so they actually can move him forward on a more frequent basis.

Afraid that’s untrue. Fulham fans say he’s played slightly over 50% of his time on the wing this season.

I still laugh out loud to myself just thinking about that. It was absolute SC gold.

I'd like to be sure we get him by signing him now if we have to offer Fulham a couple million more, and still loaning him back for the rest of the season.

This ought to be so obvious that no one should have to even mention it, but it doesn't seem to be the way we work. Fulham would continue to pay at least some of his wages, and we'd know exactly where we stand at the start of the summer window. If we wait until the summer, you just know it'll go to deadline day, fall through, and leave us with plan C or nothing at all.

Daily Mail understand #thfc are now in pole position to sign Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon as they are willing to comply with Fulham's option to loan him back to the club for the remainder of the season.

His finest hour if you ask me & he's probably the funniest poster on here so that's really saying something

He must be a satirist or journalist of some description by profession. If he isn't (assuming he's a he) then he bloody well should be because his wit is like a razor.
