I thought he was pretty solid defensively for his age, too, when he had the space to defend in depth--he's a precise tackler, good anticipation. But that was all against Championship level talent last year, and even then it seemed, like Rose early in his career, that Sess can be bullied physically and gets caught out of position. Unlike Rose, though, when he crosses the ball it seems to find players wearing his own jersey color, so I'd love to see him focus on development at the full back / wing back position where i just think his ceiling is higher and he can learn defensive discipline. That kind of eye for goals and assists and one-two passing from wide areas could be truly special, even Alaba-esque.

I'm just not sure if his physical frame is max-ed out yet or whether he has room to grow and bulk out. From the little I've seen of him, it looks like the latter. He's already 5'10 -- two inches taller than Rose and just an inch shorter than Alaba -- at 18 years old.

I think Fulham will hold out for as much as they can get so this will be a long tortured saga and dick sizing contest between Levy and Khan.

We'll see, but I wouldn't be so sure

RS helped Fulham get promoted and then signed a new contract with them last summer, deciding to stay with the club to help them secure Premier League survival.

In doing these things, he's helped the club out and showed them a lot of good will. His representatives have probably already had conversations with Fulham about letting him develop his career away from the club, so I wouldn't be surprised if the deal was fairly straight-forward.

I know that sounds like wishful thinking (especially from an old cynic like myself), but I get the impression that Fulham won't want to burn bridges given the circumstances.

I'd hope that's how it will pan out but it depends how much of a bath Fulham take on his value. He was touted at 50m last year and 25m this time (roughly). Khan won't want to have his pants pulled down in public like that. Maybe an 'undisclosed' figure would get it done.

He can go to Europe for £500k compensation next summer. Even compensation over here would be a fraction of £25m. Anything above £20m is a good deal if you frame it that way.

This is a lad who is a very genuine young man. Hope it Happens, absolutely the type of young player you’d want at your club

I would get him for LB / LWB, I think he could be quality there if we can build on the defensive side of his game. Not convinced about him at RWF, not sure he has enough for where we want to be.

Potential world class LB / LWB or average RWF imo. Many said the similar about bale though...

I don’t he needs to be pigeonholed just yet, at the age he is there’s no problem playing further forward for a couple of years and then gradually moving back to lb

Maybe sending Kyle Walker Peters there for a years loan can help get this deal done. KWP play a in the left as well right.

I think we should keep KWP and let him develop with us. He definitely has potential. Buy sess and keep kwp

Surely best way for KWP to develop is to actually play. Not in the U21 squad this summer that he’s been part of for the whole of qualification as he’s not playing.. 22 how long do you wait?

Played 435 mins (10appearances) in all comps and 2 of those were of the bench. Still ended up equal on PL assists with tripper in 22 less matches so I’d say not given a chance.

Maybe gaffer saw that he's not ready. Bad decision when played against barca. Anyway Selling Trippier apparently... So shud keep the lad and give him time to develop with us
