Make what you want of the American fans, but the most classless moment of the entire cup was Olazabal making Molinari and Tiger play out 18. Cup was won at that point, no need to play that out, should have just conceded it to Tiger in the fairway.

Tiger actually showed some class and conceded Molinari's putt to allow it to be over and for him to go celebrate with his teammates.

Jack Nicklaus conceded to Tony Jacklin back in the day when the U.S. had already retained the cup. Payne Stewart conceded to Monty at Brookline when it was won as well. Classless move by Olazabal.

That's bullshit, the cup was retained by that point, not won. With the hostile atmosphere and utterly classless behaviour of the American fans in shouting during Poulter's backswing in the final round it was nothing less than they deserved.

Olazabal walked the entire length of the 18th with Molinari to make him feel like he was still an important part of what was going on, where as he could have been jumping around with the rest of the team. Olazabal showed absolutely nothing but class behaviour during the entire competition.

No it wasn't, it was Kuchar making Westwood putt his tap in. Woods showed no more class than everyone else who had allowed putts of that length to be conceded, which most did, bar Kochar.

That is true, but I'm pretty sure most people in Kucher's position would have done the same, especially as putting is Westwood's main weakness. Westwood said he would have done the same as well.

No-one else did though, and I have rarely seen anyone do that in Ryder cup golf, that I can remember ?

Dustin Johnson was much worse when he made Colsaerts putt twice for 8 feet to win the hole. While Kuchar's wasn't great sportsmanship, Westwood's putt was for the match so you can kind of understand it even if you don't agree with it. Westwood even said he would have done the same thing, or words to that effect. Colsaerts putt was in the middle of the round and Johnson was up by at least one at the time (I think), which made it worse. There weren't as many sportmanship moments this year as previous years. There were a few (like Mickelsen applauding Rose), but a lot of short putts weren't conceded by both sides.

I agree with those saying there was nothing wrong with what Olazabal did. The cup was still there to be won. I think it would have been more disrespectful than respectful if he made him pick up the ball on the last. It would have been disrepectful to Molinari, who hadn't won at point for Europe at that stage btw and was fighting hard to get one, and to Woods. Players want there match to be played out until the finish and not be handed the match, and that has been the case when Europe beat USA 18.5 - 9.5 in Ireland and the previous one in America, and when USA won it the year Faldo was captain.

I really dislike Tiger. Guy just looked like he didn't want to be there and I'm sure there were so many more players who would of shown A LOT more passion. Maybe Tiger goes about his business quietly which is fair enough but he played awfully and for the so called 'best in the world', he let his team down.

:D

Firstly Tiger didnt concede it until he fucked it up, secondly the cup wasnt won and the rules state iirc the game has to be played unless conceded and to be honest Europe conceded more points than the Americans iirc and thirdly didnt the american fans storm on to the golf course in 1999 during the 17th before the match was even decided

Also American had already won the cup when Payne conceded so it is completely different and Jack Nicklaus only conceded the point on the last shot when Britain needed a 2 foot putt to win the game, SO HE DIDNT CONCEDE THE WHOLE HOLE, HE CONCEDED THE PUTT AND GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!
