Yeah think Westwood is in decline and can't see him making the team as a player in two years...that will mean faldo's record is safe...poulter may be around...depends on his form over next two years

Yeah, along the lines of what i am thinking, same with America too, Furyk might not be but they have some dangerous young talent coming through.

Poulter, I think will be picked next time regardless, he is a huge player even if it has been a poor tournament by his standards

Great pitch shot by Victor

Depends on his form, if it really stinks then he wont be.

Final score 16 and a half, 11 and a half...a lot easier than it looked like it was going be...in all three days the Americans started well, we finished better

Strong words from Mickelson in the press conference. Basically criticising the last few captains, tactics, man management etc.

There is a bit of a scapegoat feeling going on though...yes Watson didn't seem to get best out of team, or get decisions right...but all too easy to blame someone else...the players didn't perform and in the end that's what it boils down to

It does come down to the players but lets not underestimate pairing players with certain strengths or personalities, as Faldo found to his cost in 08 where he loaded the best players late in the singles.
Mcginleys attention to detail seems to have paid off.

It's a bit of both, but still think most of the onus rests on players in the Ryder cup..yes, captains make decisions of who to go out...Watson made a couple of key blunders for both foursomes, although who's to say whether spieth and reed on Friday or mickelson and Bradley would have won anyway? They may have put up a better showing than some of their teammates, but Europe were playing great...that's what I mean...it's all very well moaning about Watson, but Watson put it more simply when he just said Europe just played better...it seems all too easy when you've lost to blame the captain, it's like footballers with the manager...

Faldo copped it when we lost in 2008 and the vibe around the team didn't seem as tight as most years, but if we're winning matches, would that have been the case? The usa players turned up that year...

Sounds to me phil's nose is out of joint about not playing Saturday and is aiming some early cheap shots...but as Monty pointed out, he was the only American not to be on the team plane over to Scotland in the first place...what kind of teammate is that?

phil has no right to criticise mr watson....yet. he hasnt been in the position as captain and watson has won the cup over here previously.
give it 10 years or so and we will see what mickelson is like as a RC captain...and send him back home with his tail between his legs.
