Because we didn't sign him? You think he picked Stoke over us?

You dont think Peace might have wanted 20m from us because of the issues he has with Levy?

All I'm saying is for 12m in this current market is a good deal

Never rated him as much as some on this board did. Saying that though these are probably the same people that said Leandro Damaio is world class and we should have got Owen Coyle as manager

We do seem hyper sensitive to a medical, Demba Ba and Remy being 2 we shied away from. I suspect we make a business decision given our history of players with long injuries.

To be fair has Remy managed a full season since we tried to sign him? Demba Ba is a miss but he'd have probably pushed for the chavski move regardless. I don't think anyone will truly know with Dembele until he plays in the Premier League.

I agree with this in principal but Pulís is so dodgy that I think / have heard there is much more to this. Promises, broken promises and lots of people trying to line their pockets is the other version of this story
Quite well publicised Pulis has and probably still does have clauses in his contract based on making money from transfers. He wanted to sell Berahino for the money and was clearly pissed that Peace didn't sell and left him with sulky bollocks. I think he would of been a good signing that year. Now I think he will struggle to get the form back, physically he will be miles off what he was.

Served an 8 week ban for taking recreational drugs apparently.

Not surprised. He's a bit of a tool.

I'm surprised Hughes has come out with this, unless the press already knew and were going to leak it anyway. This probably happens all the time and the fans don't find out about it as it's disguised as injury.

must have been puff & he got the munchies big time as he tubbed up quite a bit

I used to love the munchies but yeah alot of weight was put on. I loved having the golden trip... McDonald's, Burger king and KFC washed down with profiteroles and fudge cake with vanilla ice cream.

Not anymore though and been like that for four years.

Walker did smoke the laughing gas a few years ago, but now he is very mature and professional. Not sure whether Berahino will learn from this, but he is not good enough at this moment for us to wait for him to grow

I'd loved to have seen him try to smoke laughing gas, I'd love to see anyone try it

Really? Gosh. What a massive conflict of interest.

Surely a manager who gains financially from sale profits won't necessarily be as objective when it comes to transfer policy?

Reminds me of the George Graham / Venables / Warnock / even Redknapp (dare I say) days.
