Good - think we're already experiencing the widest range of our emotions this summer, without that happening.

Rondon would be a very fine back up. If Poch wants him then get it done.
Agreed. Most have a short memory anyway, but I remember he caused our defense massive problems last time we played against WBA. No use having a 30M player being backup of Harry...

You know the window has got the better of you when you see this thread bumped and think, yeah fuck it, he’ll do.

He will give our CH’s a torrid time on Saturday. May not score but will be a total pain in the arse. He’s a big mobile and aggressive lump - a dimension that is missing from our game sometimes. Not suggesting we should have signed him but I for one would not have been absolutely upset for a decent price.

Start of the transfer window: "Let's go out and break the bank for Bale."

End of the transfer window: "Salomon Rondon might be a useful signing."

I am definitely in this camp. He is not given credit for the job that he performed in an awful 'attack' at WBA because most can only evaluate goals and assists.

And I would like to ask anyone to name a PL team with a better squad alternative than Rondon, City excepted. Chelsea would have a decent argument but then I think Giroud has always been useful.

Agree. I made these sort of points back on June 6th also. Not a desperation thing on my behalf - more a recognition of need/use. Anyway, that’s gone now. With the right service they could have got themselves a new Sir Les.

The point is imo he won’t get the right service at Tottenham just as Llorente hasn’t. We don’t cross the ball that much to suit these kind of strikers

Arsenal with lacazette, utd with Rashford, Liverpool with Sturrridge, Bournemouth with Defoe. The list is endless. He's a striker that doesn't score or assist. We have one like that already. I'd say janssen is a much higher calibre.

How'd you figure that. I've seen Rondon terrorise teams on his own. He's so much more athletic than Janssen, and from what we've seen you can't tell me he's technically worse. I don't thing Janssen is bad player, but not many would say he was better than Rondon.
