Another one i've seen is people typing "F" when someone dies. It's from call of duty i believe. A cutscene of a funeral or something where you press f to pay your respects.

Salty has been used a lot in the last 6 months.

Fam is also one of my hates.
Never heard of that F one, and I'm someone who's relatively youthful

Yeah I've seen this F one as well, it's gotta be the most insincere way ever of paying respect, to go to that great effort of typing a single letter.
It's bullshit.

People use F on facebook in the comments to "follow" the post as they're too stupid to click "follow" on the menu.

I didn’t notice it until Liverpool threw their toys out. Suddenly you couldn’t go three posts without someone taking the opportunity to use it like they were being sponsored.

I've known of it for years, but it seems to have gone mainstream recently.
Not sure if it was American originally or not.

Yeah it's been around for years in online gaming/multiplayer stuff. Only the past 6 months or so I've started hearing people actually say it in person though i.e. sitting in a pub having a conversation and saying "Yeah don't worry mate, he's just salty" or whatever. It's gone all mainstream I guess  It's a bit like how there are people who actually say LOL

Salty isnt a new thing. I've heard it for years. I think it started with the CoD / Youtube crowd.

Was going to say it’s been on reddit for years as well. I just think it means sweaty as in, when you have a meltdown on a messageboard and get all sweaty typing
