Yes agree with this teams especially the "lesser teams" are sitting deep and banking up against us as a mark of respect like you stated but also because they know we struggle for answers on how to deal with it.
I have no problem with teams doing it to us some see it as anti football but if west ham hadn't played like that midweek, they potentially could of lost 5/6 nil which from their perspective is morale crushing so I get why they did it but the onus is on us to find ways to beat it.

 I think I put up a whole list of how you can beat it, sometimes you can't that's football. If it was easily countered then teams wouldn't do it

Exactly. Teams park the bus because it works. They are not simply looking to lose by a smaller margin but to get draws and on occasion a sucker punch win.

It is a sad state of football that due to the gulf in class between the top 6 and the rest that the lowers sides are better off playing anti-football.

But as one of the top six sides we do not get past this challenge by whining.

Saying we should have beaten these teams doesn't alter the fact that we didn't. When a team parks the bus it stands to reason that the team attacking "deserved to win." But as the margin is smaller on occasion we won't.

So we need to look at better ways to beat teams parking the bus.

We can play better passers. We can play two up front. We can sacrifice a DM for a more attacking mid.

These all leave us open to counter attacks more though so there is no easy answer.

And I agreed with you mate but I think on the night we didn't shift it quick enough nor was clinical enough in front of goal otherwise we would have won by 5/6 but hey that's football.

Why hasn't Poch been sacked yet? That's what I want to know, been waiting all morning for Pulis to be announced, at this rate I would take Sherwood back in a heartbeat.

Because of the level of money on offer for premier league status I think we will see more and more teams do this in the future to the top six sides.

We showed interest in Sissoko before the Euros, it wasn't that reactionary.

Do believe genuinely believe that after seeing him in the Prem we had no interest? Then when he had 4/5 games in the Euros we suddenly wanted him?

As I said before it is clear Poch wanted physscal players for that position. Saying because we couldn't afford a world class player with different attributes we decided to buy Sissoko is absolute nonsense.

I remember the transfer thread, and Isco was a possibility, the minute that went dead we rushed the Sissoko deal through.

Isco was never a possibility.

Just because it's on the internet it doesn't make it true.

He wanted to stay at madrid and madrid were happy to keep him. An agent might have floated about to see what interest there was and strengthen his position but doubt there was more to it than that. All my onions and if someone knows better i will bow to their superior knowledge.

Still could have done better than sissoko for the fee though (at the time).

to date Poch has done a fantastic job but he still has a lot to prove ..... both tactically (too many teams setting up not to be beat that he can't work out) and in terms of personnel (Sissoko GNK, Janssen Llorente etc) as he still hasnt any where near proven that he knows how to improve or even properly supplement what most would agree are our first choice offensive players of Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Son. Which why the giving up on the 15m signing of Barkley was just bizarre.

People who start making their point with "Look, "
You're just fishing now. End of, fact and simple as are classic chav-isms. Best served by some spotty oik wearing low slung baggy ass jeans and a sideways on baseball cap who walks with a draggy leg limp.

I blame council estate residents and immigrants. fact.
