We're now up to 17 entrants which means I'll definitely be running it as two divisions, dividing up all the current entrants between the two. Hopefully by Saturday we should get a few more signed up and then it'll be a cracking competition. The benefits of running it as two divisions btw are that each league has less competition for players so you should get more top players in your team. Also we will all be able to see both leagues scores and progress so you'll still be able to measure yourself against the other division.

Nice one Luka.

Looking forward to this.

What's the prize, some sort of banner maybe?

Shaping up nicely, 22 teams now, so as it is it'll split into two leagues of 11.

As a bit of an afterthought, what does everyone think of donating £5 to SC as a voluntary entry fee? I don't expect everyone to go in for it but I'm gonna do it and it'd be great if others did too.

As a prize for the winners of each division i'm happy to offer my services to design a banner and avatar of their specification for each winner if that's something people would like.

Right we've got two leagues of 12 teams, i've had to have a team in both leagues to be able to process the bids etc. Anyone that wanted to sign up has had a pretty good chance to do so so i'm going to enter the Auction phase now and set the first deadline for Tuesday at 9pm. This should give everyone enough time to make their first round of bids and hopefully then we can progress with a round a day after that.

Remember, here's the rules:

Squad size: 15
Number of players per country: 2 (this will increase after the group stage to 3)
Auction budget: £100mil
Knockout stage budget: £25mil (plus whatever you have left from auction)
Bid Increments: £0.25
Maximum of 20 transfers in the tournament
Maximum of 10 transfers in Group Stage
Maximum of 10 transfers in Knockout Stage
All three formations (4-4-2, 4-3-3, 5-3-2) available.

To make your bids, once in the auction phase, click on your team name and from there you can search for the players you want and enter your bids above their name.

Good luck everyone! Let the games begin!

This is tough. Do I spread myself thin, risking not getting any decent players, or do I nail the players I want? :cautious:

Cheeky £0.25m bid for Messi, just in case.....

You can actually bid £0 for anyone, you just have to type it in and let it go green. This way you can bag players for free if no one else bids.

Ah yes, but if other people have the same idea that 0.25m will make all the difference!

Edit: Changed my team 5 times already. I should probably go to bed.
