He’s a good character, a fantastic person, a proper family man, a real good pro. He’ll be great around the place for us - Harry Redknapp after we signed him from West Ham.

I believe Scott Parker was a Spurs fan during his childhood days and we tried to sign him as a 14 year old when he appeared in the McDonalds advert for the 1994 World Cup.

Fantastic appointment,I think the ambassador role is more about how well he comes across and could promote the club in various areas ,more than him being any sort of club legend.Obviously hope poch stays with us forever, but in reality I wouldn't be at all surprised if Parker one day has the hot seat.He is just the consummate professional.

Good move by the club. And a good move by Parker to actually do an 'apprenticeship', as it were, to learn his new craft. Nice to see a pro not trying to billy Gigg balls his way into the big chair because they had a decent career. Big life changes for him but he seems to have the proper personality to do it. But what can you say, retiring one day and accepting a new coaching role the other...it's been a whirlwind couple of days for Scott.

Very strong feeling Parker is being groomed for the job if poch ever leaves. He certainly has a similar professional no nonsense approach like poch.I just think they would love to keep it in house and try and keep a legacy and philosophy.Seems to be doing great job so far with U19s now top of CL group.

Just going from him being the consummate pro as a player. And have seen a few interviews he comes across very well.Seems very focused and eager to learn.Imo he has a very similar character to poch.
