Why? We've been linked by ITKs and press but do we treally need another CM?

Palacios
Sandro
Hudd
Modric
Krancjar
Jenas
O'Hara
Bostock
Livermore
Parrett

Listed as out by ITKs
Listed as youth by me

We only have 2 CM positions so why have 5 or more?

Because he is better than Palacios, Huddlestone (albeit different), Jenas, O'hara, Bostock, Livermore, and Parrett.

:bang:

- Flopped at this level when he was at his peak
- Can't even do a full season/badly tails off in the spring
- Would be our 5th best CM behind Modric, Sandro, Hudd and Palacios
- Old, high wages and depreciating rapidly
- Redknapp would play him ahead of Sandro and drive the Brazilian over to Spain/Italy.

I don't think we'll even know why we get linked with oddity of players we do. Mixture of bullshit and half-truths. But I do know that we will sign four CM and six RB's but no S/F.

This is what i'm worried about. I'm all for having 'winners' and 'characters' etc but if they are to the detriment to the team then I would rather a younger more talented player be picked.

Sandro has all the talent and ability to be one of the best midfielders in the world. If he gets p*ssed off and leaves because Harry wants to play one of his mates it will be a disaster.

Surely you realise its a squad game, and Parker would give us a great option along side Sandro away from home. He wouldn't play every game but would certainly command a place in our midfield over the inconsistent Huddlestone.
He also has much better technical ability than some people give him credit for. His leadership and drive would be very useful, particualry when considering how static our midfield often looks when we don't have the ball.

The type of players you want us to sign Dan are all very able technical players, but if we are to sign a load of technically gifted attacking players, then Sandro and Parker would provide the perfect balance to allow them to attack. Lets face it, he is much better than Palacios and Jenas, one of which will surely leave this summer. I see him as a good signing

Harry doesn't rotate. Why do you think Bale looked burnt out for the second half of the season.

Blockbuster, unfortunately HR has favourites like Defoe and Crouch and it cost us 4th, why wouldn't he favour his buddy Scottie

I hope Liverpool prove what a big club they are and beat us to his signature.
Sadly I don't think we'll get Joe Cole lucky again.

After initially being against this I'd actually welcome this now.

He's got a bit of passion about him and some balls, which is what the likes of Hudd and Jenas lack really.

I'd be happy with him, but ONLY if it's as a partner / foil for Sandro and not instead of.

Then gived Modric a more free role on the left and Bale overlapping at left-back and I think we would add a bit more gritt and winning mentality to the team.

I've said in other threads on this subject I feel it would be better for Lennon not having another out and out winger on the other side plus Bale can come from deep making it harder for teams to double / tripple up on him.

Plus when Parker isn't fit as he isn't a 38 games a season lad we can mix things up a bit bring Hudd in or slipping Modric back into the middle.

Surely this season has shown he doesn't really do favourites, he has dropped Defoe & Crouch many times.

I have to debate every point you make:

If he was at his peak then and not now then can i ask you to explain how he has just had his best season? Players dont necessarily have their best years at a certain age!

You also claim hes worse than Palacios? The player that won player of the season is worse than a player who is our 4th choice CM? Rose tinted specs........!!

Re high wages, do you know what he would come on? Does it matter to you? Does depreciation actually matter to you? I assume you wouldnt want Berbatov back then as his value will be depreciating as well! Surely its about the impact they have on the squad? i leave the ££ to the chairman.

Finally - what makes you think he would drop Sandro for Parker - what evidence do you have to even suggest that? Or is it just random words to slate Harry?

I must say, thats a really bad post with bad points poorly made!

Bollocks, Pav scores and Crouch starts next game, Crouch doesn't score and still starts next game.

If we get him for £2mill it is ok. I would not pay more for him. Not my first choice at all.

You will disappointed. We will pay a lot more than £2m for Parker if he comes to us.
