I'm just debating my points, you don't agree that Chelsea raise their game against us?
I don't think it's any different to how we raise our game when we play top clubs. The top teams all have to raise their game against top opponents.

Llorente is a veteran goal scorer and he should definitely help our team when we need a plan B. For 12mil I don't think there's any downside whatsoever with this transfer.

Well this was a fun read. Just seems to me the OP simply didn't want Llorente because he isn't seen as a world class star now or in the future.

Shiny new toy syndrome.

I personally think he is a very intelligent signing who offers us a different dimension and will teach Kane a thing or two as well. Personally it's a very good window for me. Barkley would have made an amazing window but suspect that will happen in January

It's different in the way that Chelsea are a better side and can raise their game to a level where they regularly win trophies they also know how to play against us, I don't think he is a good enough plan B.

But you think Sandro Ramirez is?

Yes, because Everton bought him.

If we'd bought hm the OP would be complaining at us not spending and bringing in proven talent.

I have no problem at negativity or discussing areasfor improvement but the contradictions in the OPs argument suggest he'd simply look at whatever we did in a negative way.

So who would be a good enough plan B?

There are many signings that I haven't criticized, I don't have a problem with Jansen or GKN, if you look back I never criticised their signings at the time, but its clear that the Poch doesn't want them after one season, why should this be ignored?

In the OP you said we wasted £60m last summer. 2 of the 3 players were Janssen and N'koudou.

Now you're saying you didn't criticise the signigns at the time.

As I said before you have created a really incoherent thread. I have no idea what your point is or even what we're supposed to be discussing.

Yes because Poch didnt want them after one season so its wasted money.

Been through this already, he is getting paid 120k a week which is above our wage structure.
Yes but I also said I think he would have come to us if we gone in for him because we are a better club and have a better manager, you disagree and that's fine.

Yeah that worked for Wilfred Zaha I suppose.

the only reason we haven't seen GKN even on the bench this season isn't because Poch doesn't fancy him, it's due to being injured.

myself I'm gutted we don't look like we are going to give Janssen a better go of it in the 2nd season, because I really believe there's a player there that just needs a break, even if it means 1 going in off his arse. hopefully with Llorentes experience something this team has needed for a few seasons now, it might be the turning point. he did score 15 goals for Swansea, if he gets enough game time for us he could match that figure with the amount of chances we create.
