Good to see at least one person around here is pleased.

I suspect quite a lot of people are pleased but are a bit less vocal than those who are upset?

I've been a ST for the last few years and got in to Phase 4 (today), I bought tickets at £995 for me, my brother in law (Phase 1) and father in law (phase 2) and got roughly where I wanted to be (south lower) so I'm absolutely chuffed.

I'm sorry for people who've been split up or can't get the exact seats they wanted but this doesn't mean everyone is upset.

Is the first row behind the designated safe standing elevated more than any other row, if that makes sense?

In all but the middle block and edge of each block alongside there is a stand for wheelchair users and it’s quite a jump from that to row 31, in the sort of upper bit.
If you go on the interactive plan and highlight a seat near the back of the ‘lower’ bit and swizzle you can see how high it is, to allow the wheelchair users who cannot stand to see over all the heads in front of them

Just reading the latest posts with those buying tickets today.
Did you all actually seem surprised you got the doughnut of death when trying to buy your ticket before 10am?

Can only speak for myself and no I wasn't surprised, although as others had said they'd got in and made a purchase before the window was even officially opened I thought I'd chance my arm.

If you are at all flexible with where you are willing to sit then I think there will be seats for all, so no need to panic - although of course I did!

I'm in window 8 and am relaxed. I go on my own which really is both liberating and also makes it so easy to organise. I don't have to rely on anyone else being in my group/window etc and there *should be the odd seat in most area's.

I have been so stressed about sorting out the tickets for me and my friends, anything that didn't happen within 5 seconds was stressing me out this morning. Everything made worse by the fact I had a nightmare last night about not getting tickets and my account being hacked.

First world problems eh :ROFLMAO:

Are there any official standing blocks?

Because if there aren't and if people think Levy is going to spunk squillions on a stadium only to let people get away with it like they did at the old ground and stand up en masse, they might eventually turn up for a game to find a letter attached to their seats.

I would be very surprised if it didn't go sour for the 'standers' eventually once the kinks have been ironed out.

I was a bit surprised that I didn't get it when I logged on before 10am, but I was rather surprised when I did get it after I'd paid for my seats.

Does the site tell you the ticket price when you hover over the potential seat?

I'm EXCITED. Sent the other two chaps I sit with about 8 options and I got us option 2 - I was more nervous about that than any really complicated work I've done in the last couple of years!

Well chuffed with that. Can't wait for that first game. Probably some time in November, right?

The future-proofed areas designated for safe standing have nothing to do with the issue of making people sit down in their seats. They are unrelated.

The safe standing areas will be equipped with rails to prevent crowd surges. If standing is legalised again, the seats will be removed from those areas and anyone who has a ticket there will only be able to perch on a bench, not sit in a seat.

Changing those areas to standing would also increase capacity.
Safe standing does not increase capacity , all it does is put a barrier in front of your seat for you to lean against for safety purposes. This is the problem with somebody standing in the steeper upper tiers of the south stand , maybe had too much too drink , Harry scores a blinder and while celebrating you topple forward onto the person in front of you who is still sitting maybe because they are old etc . Check out safe standing at Celtic Park no increase of capacity, still a seat and a safety barrier.

I agree in theory, but imagine be the guy who has had his ST for 12 years, is phase 4 because of LPs and loses out on anything even close to what he wants because 8000 of the people in phases 1-3 got seats for theirs kids who’ve only been going for a year or two. Could be a guy with bad eyesight and low income who now can only afford a remaining seat in the heavens, or has to pay through the nose to be able to tell the difference between Kane and Dier.

I know.......you can't please everyone.

Billy "cough" NoMates.

Unfortunately, I`ve had to buy on my own as none of my so-called mates in the first round would wait.
Intriguingly, in the block I was forced into by the splitters mentioned above, I've got the middle seat of a row of 3.
Can't wait to meet my new mates. Maybe.

Does anyone know the angle of the East and West lower stands at the new ground and whether they are not as steep as the old ground? I’m in pretty much the same row as I used to be at the old ground, but the view from the interactive stadium map seems different.

Not much I can do about it now anyway, but just wondered if anybody knew.

I think the rake is a bit shallower than old WHL, but I haven’t got a direct comparison.

I’m also in the same row as before and would have ideally preferred a few rows higher. Particularly as I’m much further towards the penalty area than before.

Not sure of difference between rake and angle if there is a difference but in page 6 of the brochure we were sent it says ‘ the angle of the stands is set at up to 35 degrees’. Not sure if that’s what you were looking for.
