You've had to pay for your seats already?

Just the deposit. The point is that the "wheel of death" appeared after I'd provided my credit card details and clicked to complete the transaction. It was some kind of internal error and eventually it told me I had 5 minutes left to complete the transaction, which I did on the second try.

Does anyone know the angle of the East and West lower stands at the new ground and whether they are not as steep as the old ground? I’m in pretty much the same row as I used to be at the old ground, but the view from the interactive stadium map seems different.

Not much I can do about it now anyway, but just wondered if anybody knew.

Not sure of difference between rake and angle if there is a difference but in page 6 of the brochure we were sent it says ‘ the angle of the stands is set at up to 35 degrees’. Not sure if that’s what you were looking for.
That's the angle of the south stand from the middle up. IIRC the rake of the stands in the lower east and west is about 13/14 degrees.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered already but I am thinking of going for 416/7 with my 15yr old son, once he hits 18 birthday would we have to move seats and wouldn’t the choice then be very limited?

Thanks. That seems very shallow (not sure if that is the correct word for opposite to steep) in comparison to other stands if they are 35 degrees. Any idea what it used to be at the old ground?

If it is less steep i’m worried about my little friend who I take sometimes, not being able to see if we end up behind a tall person. He would have to stand up and as we’ve already discussed that would be very much frowned upon in the West Stand.

Just reading the latest posts with those buying tickets today.
Did you all actually seem surprised you got the doughnut of death when trying to buy your ticket before 10am?
I like the 'I've got 12 browsers open' approach :ROFLMAO:
Literally makes no difference, its like getting a load of mates to stand infront and behind you in a queue, just makes the queue appear longer than it really is.

I think I did see comparative profiles where it was roughly the same. No one should stand in the West or East lowers. Your ‘little friend’ should be ok as we had someone who was 5’1” that used to sit with us.

As for the south ‘upper’ areas I don’t think people will stand too much as it will feel steeper than people think. The seats in front will be lower and you won’t want to fall down there. I’m with A&C in thinking the club is going to ensure people sit. Also the majority of the concessions are in this area meaning there will be all ages - young and old. I already know of someone who is 85 years old sitting smack in the centre in row 38.

I think you're right here, the rake in the lower East and West at WHL was about the same as it will be in the new stadium. I agree with you about standing in the south upper as well. If you've ever been to watch Charlton at The Valley, the north stand has a rake of 34 degrees, pretty much the same as our new south upper, and it is bloody steep. Those people who are planning on standing at the top of the south stand are going to give themselves vertigo.

is the club holding some seats and not allowing them to be sold? yesterday just after 10am some sections had a great amount of seats greyed out and today all those seats are back to blue and available. Anyone noticed the same?

I found the interactive map is not reliable for tracking current availability. If you actually log in to the ticket purchasing system then you can see the actual availability.

Sometimes seats do reappear on the ticket purchasing system after previously being "sold", best example being in block 418 which was previously sold out, however there is now a seat available. Not seen it happen in large numbers, only the odd seat here and there.

I’ve a feeling that if the 1882 seats don’t sell and there is a gaping hole in the stand then they will be released in a year’s time to season ticket holders. It’s going to look ridiculous having a load of empty seats splat bang in the middle of that stand.

If they don’t sell they’ll just be released as normal seats for members for GA

Except they will have to charge >£100 a ticket otherwise you can bet those who did buy the 1882 season ticket will be up in arms.
