They always were overpriced. The worry for me is next year. When people realise how big a commitment it is to have a season ticket and the novelty of the new ground has worn off I can see a good 5 thousand or so dropping out with no-one to replace them. Unless of course we win the league or something - that could change things completely.

Got excited by people getting offered season tickets way down the waiting list, so called to ask where they had got to - they told me 36-37k.

I know someone who joined at the start of last season who is about 40k (and hasn't been offered one yet). By the end of the season it was over 60k. So I'd guess new joiners are 60-70k.

I know that last year at Wembley they cut it off for the database of members as at 1 May and didn't offer anyone that wasn't a member for the previous season. They may well do the same again. Given how far down the list they've gone I would call and ask - you never know.

If they have got to 50000 looks like not going to sell out on season tickets then as they are priced too high, I did renew but only because I get half price. The club saying that you can't compare pricing to WHL because of all the extra experience you get is just nonsense. I am going purely to see a football match , if I want to eat I will go to a restaurant ( you can get a Michelin 3 course set lunch in London for £30 , bet they can't match that in the fancy parts of the stadium ) , if I want to drink I'll go to a pub, didn't buy a single thing inside Wembley so certainly do not need all these upmarket extras that have increased ticket prices.
Hopefully Bricklayers is still open?

I am with you on your comments, I think it is a real shame they have done it all this way.

A quick question .,, the greyed out areas (the main large tier for example in lower area) does this mean all of those seats went to Season ticket holders and all sold? I ask because I personally wanted to sit in that big stand but debating a Season Ticket as I still can choose to do so, but I would be happy for this season to remain a member if it meant I can sit in the lower area of the large stand - but will there be seats for members there at all?

Sorry if that does not make sense but I found the whole process a bit annoying and also lack of info on many scenarios.

Thanks for your help guys

The club has not been absolutely clear on this but I think someone did say that they did ask the ticket office about members and they said some seats in the lower tiers are being held back for sale to members but it could be wrong. The sales map is unreliable but no seats have become available recently to ST's on the lower tier apart from 1882 seats.

The club initially said that there would be a pool of "over 50,000" seats for ST holders to choose from, which would suggest that everything except the corporate and away areas was available to them, and the South Stand is now sold out. However, that would imply that there'd be over 8,000 still available once nearly all the STs had been sold, and there doesn't look to be anywhere near that many, so it's widely suspected that the club was lying. No way to know for certain unfortunately.

The first 2 rows on the entire North Lower were “sold out” or probably being held by the club from day one....

Farcical really to be honest. I wanted a ST, but I am not paying £2200 and for somewhere I don't actually want to sit. I do hope they have some available in the big stand lower for members. I know I should not moan, but having been Park Lane every time for god knows how many years, I feel that many have been left in the dark regards to process and what is going to happen to member options for seats (availability). Looks great though :)

Absolutely, the new stadium is going to be fantastic, and we needed to do it, but I have a feeling, as a member who goes to a lot of games, I'm really going to miss standing at the back of Park Lane Lower. It was the last bit that had a proper old school stadium feel to it, where you could stand for the entire game without getting moaned at, and I just hope that somehow we can replicate the Park Lane/Shelf side corner experience, but I do have my doubts.

Still can't wait for the first game, just hope I can get a ticket.

Something very odd is going on - they appear from the eTicketing site to have made more tickets available to buy!

I can't be 100% certain, but I am fairly sure that no seats were available in blocks 520 and 521 when I bought my seat at the start of last week. The interactive stadium map backs this up. There now appear to be a few dozen on offer. It is f***ing annoying as I would rather have sat in those blocks than block 519.

Can anyone else vouch for this?

Yes looks like that may be the end of season ticket sales no more access to the eticketing map. Not sure it was totally accurate today as seats were appearing in previously greyed out blocks.

I don’t think we are that different from most clubs with high ticket prices. Most people become members to get access to matchday tickets not to be on a waiting list. In reality if you offer 50k people something they really want but it’s 1.2k for a year. How many could actually afford that in society maybe 10-15% which is about what the uptake has been as about 6k went to waiting list. The original unsold ST about 1.5k and the 4.3 k for local residents.

I dont think waiting list positions are currently available. Mine used to be displayed on the 'my account' page on the website but it hasnt been since for a few weeks or possibly even since i renewed!

Wtf im number 56000 and got sod all? My email address is correct and upto date so wtf is going on here!?

Sounds like pot luck ffs.

I was 59,331 last year so don't know how much I moved up, don't know if the amount of games I endured at Wembley helped?!

I mean my seat is rubbish and was £1200 but it means I don't have to worry about missing out on matches

Makes sense. If there were about 20k new season tickets last year at wembley you would have moved up to about 40k or so on the waiting list. Tallies with what I was told today about how far down the list they had offered (about 37k). I know new joiners last summer were about 40k, so just about anyone who was on the list before that should have been offered one.

Congrats by the way! Very envious.
