The 21-year-old made his debut for River Plate in an Argentine Primera Division match back in December 2013 and has since impressed many in his home country, particularly over the last 18 months.
His performances this season in particular have prompted interest from across Europe, with Tottenham, AS Roma and Marseille all said to be keen suitors.

And Telefoot report that after Marseille had an £11 million (€13m) offer for Driussi turned down recently, Spurs are keen to move in for the forward this summer with Mauricio Pochettino a big fan of his compatriot.

I believe we had info earlier that Driussi has an Italian passport, so there are no work permit issues.

If he's ready for European football, and Poch wants him, then Spurs would surely be an attractive destination.

@Ossie85 do you think he is ready?

And could he play in the AM positions as well as up top?

I know someone very close to the deal to move Driussi to Europe. The two clubs most interested are Inter and Roma. Our name has not been mentioned as a possible destination.

I think this ESPN article is quite on point re Driussi and how he developed
http://www.espnfc.com/blog/soccer-u...t-tottenham-transfer-target-sebastian-driussi

He's not a typical centre forward. More like a striker than can be part of the build up. The #9 at River is Lucas Alario
He's very good with his feet, and holds the ball really well. He's very strong in that sense. He's like Luis Suarez, but maybe with a little bit less aggression and more finesse. Like Robbie Keane maybe for a closer comparison to Spurs

I don't think he will leave River until june of next year though. Same for Alario. Both want to win the Libertadores that finishes at the end of the year, and Alario has a very good chance to be at the world cup so they recommended him to stay where he plays all the games

Really? Even with players like Higuain, Messi, Dybala, Aguero etc?

Edit: Thanks for the info btw.

Sounds like he'd work well with Kane then.

I demand we sign him.

I think we were linked with him last summer.

I like all the clips I've seen of him. He looks to be razor sharp around the box, the sort of player big PL defenders don't like. He also scores different types of goals. Could see him being a very good foil for Kane in one of the spots behind.

Alario is already with the national team right now. Aguero isn't

West Brom are interested in Alario (and Benedetto). Pulis due to travel to Argentina in coming weeks. They also want a replacement for Yacob - name escapes me at present.
