HAHA...

The man is WORLD CLASS for f**** sake!!

The reason he's sulking on the pitch is because there is not 1 player in the team with the brain or talent to link up with him. At the end of the day if you had all that talent and you've got Robbo, Dawson, Kaboul, Hudd, Jenas hitting aimless balls over your head every time were in posession wouldn't you get slightly pissed off?

Berba's got eyes in the back of his head and reads the game very very well, better than most Premiership players. You will see a much different Berba if he dropped back into the 'No.10' role and had Defoe breathing down the necks of defenders leaving room for Berba to cause damage.

Those saying sell him for a striker who 'works hard', why not support a team with lots of hard-working strikers like Wigan - Heskey, Sibierski, Marcus Bent... don't you think we learnt our lesson when signing Darren Bent!

I'd be very interested to see a youtube clip of highlights of a typical Berbatov game from last season and I suspect we'd see very little difference in terms of body language and application.

I can't be absolutely sure of this, but I'm pretty sure the first time I heard someone being called a **** was when some moron yelled at Bobby Smith, 'Fuck off back to Chelsea, you fat ****' I was about 8 at the time.

Plus ça change.

Is there a such a thing as Fuckwits Anonymous?

Apparently so. they asked to advertise in Spurs Chat, but realised all theirr current membership posted here anyway.

A challenge for anyone disappointed with Berbatov's commitment. Name me one attacking player (who is good) that is not moody, petulant or arrogant. I'll name you 20 who are in return for each you suggest.

I reckon , as has been said here already; that he's pissed off because he's getting poor service and isn't playing with world class players of his own calibre with whom he can create masterpiece goals .

I read somewhere that he loves the artistic side of football which sadly we aren't up to at the mo .

Hopefully he won't go in Jan ,but summer must be a definite.

I agree. All these people yelling "Sell Berba" make me ashamed to be a Spurs fan. He's a world class striker, and a lot more passionate about football than the true Le Sulk, that moneygrubbing tw*t Anelka. As others have said, Berba's visible frustration on the pitch is largely a consequence of the poor service he often gets.

If Berba goes, I'll be adopting truly p*ssed off body language for the rest of the season.

Berbatov is an amazing player and no doubt will be put into our hall fame in years to come, but lets be honest he has only ever used us as a stepping stone to further his ambitions, he would have gone to man u before us but they were un sure and we got in there first. It feels like to me his agent has said do well there and a bigger club will come in for you.

I would love him to stay but he is not, may not go in jan but he wont be here come the summer we should get as much as we can now for him rather than risk another campbell.

cant believe some people, Berba has shown great commitment and worked hard, he may not be a fighter per se, bu he is a class act and the only class player we have (who isnt injured all the time).

If this club ever wants to go anywher they have to stand up and say look, we are in 3 cups and moving up the league, stay and fight till the end of the season, if then or still not happy we'll let you go.

You don't get ANYWHERE by letting your best players go, for any further reference see:

Teddy Sheringham, Sol Campbell, Michael Carrick

I like Berba, But I love my football club

Having that man run gingerly around the pitch for 90 minutes looking copmpletely uninterested is disrespectful and an embaressment to our club

Plus what does it look like to other potential Top players that we want to attract to the club, when the one world class player that do already have is in the media everyday with specualtion about him being unhappy and running home to tell Daddy

Disrespectful, end of,

Cash in, by a decent left winger and a proper def Midfielder
you effin loserish lunatic. Get a life dude.

Berbatov is our ONLY world-class player and you want to sell him??? Arw you bloody mad?

what a prick, get your facts right, i said this ages ago before berba had come out and said 400 times that he wanted to stay

and before today when his agent has told tottenham to listen to offers from big clubs!!

so much has been said its impossible to know what to think anymore, make him stay and honour his contract, he signed it, i dont really care anymore

TBH I hope he does leave. Obviously he is world class but i think he has a shit attitude and it upsets me that he feels the need to constantly put his team mates down by always venting his frustration at them. Arsenal seemed to have a problem with Henry and the other strikers were worried about making the wrong pass or shot etc. I think with 20m+ we could by a quality defender and maybe a young striker with height who can hold the ball up. Obviously it will be almost impossible to replace berbatov but with two extra decent players maybe we might progress more?
And to the question above no i wouldn't boo him.

Bump!

Discuss who can replace the greatest striker we've ever had...

I say he's irreplacable!

Berbatov is a striker, not a midfielder! No service, no Berbatov! He is 28, he was loyal to you, he scored GOALS. Just try to remember your feelings when he urn on i magnetic boots. Respect him, he gave you two fantastic seasons and you gave him love and his first cup in his career. Don't blame him for the reason he wants big challenges and cup winnings. He loves Spurs more than Leverkusen and it's a fact.
