No one has ever questioned his own personal record or ability, but when you have someone who can possible upset the team play in general with their mood during a game, it then becomes a problem. Berbatov won't win anything on his own, it's a team game and imo his poor attitude at times this season have affected the teams overall play.

Dimitar Berbatov's Spurs future appeared even less certain last night after his father claimed the Bulgarian ace wants to quit White Hart Lane.

Berbatov held talks with Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli on Monday in a bid to clarify his position at the club.

Tottenham maintain that Berbatov is committed to the club and new boss Juande Ramos and that he has a long-term contract. But that stance appeared to be contradicted after the forward's father, Ivan flew to London after telling Bulgarian television that his son did not want to stay in north London.

Berbatov senior said: "My son doesn't feel happy at Tottenham any more. He wants to leave."

The striker's father and the player's agent, Emil Dantchev, then left Sofia to fly to London for more talks with Spurs hierarchy.

Sources close to the striker added: "Dimitar is telling everybody that he doesn't want to stay and would like to leave in January.

"He feels that he made a mistake in the summer by not asking the club to sell him when Manchester United were interested."

Berbatov was left out of the starting side at Middlesbrough on Saturday, although he came on in the second period.

I think this refer to the game in the first half of the season, hence...

Tbh I'm not bothered if Berbatov stays or goes.

One thing is for sure, I've been pissed off with the constant speculation surrounding Berbatov via his agent and father, which Berbatov himself has control over and has IMO done nothing to stop continuing rumors. Yes everyone including the press know the quality of the player wearing the number9 shirt but it comes with an attitude which doesn't help some inferior player around him.

So if he wants out, bye bye and shut the door behind you.

Berba must staay

Guys selling Berbs is going backwards.

Yesterday Bent was in the shop window - Berbs has no groin injury and he will be at WHL next year.

As to his face, if you watched him play at CSKA, Leverkusen and for his National team - he has the same face - its a passion not a mood - don't blame him really - he needs some quality support.

I am sure this will get sorted this week.

Yes, for some reason someone decided to bring back a thread from before christmas to make a point or start a discussion that has been in several more recent threads

As I've stated, if he wants to go, then he should just go and stop wasting our time. If he leaves, I will have nothing but sour grapes for him, not because he wants to leave necessarily, but because of the manner in which he's going about it. It may seem childish, it may seem petty, but you don't disrespect this club and then expect me to appreciate you.

Anyone who allows pond-slime like Dantchev to represent him and to continually keep our club's name in the papers for his own disgusting, money-grubbing agenda is below contempt for me. If he leaves at the end of this season and ever returns to the Lane, I shall boo him till my throat is ragged.

Please form an orderly queue. And let the slating begin...
