I agree about the dirty feeling to a certain extent, and said so earlier in this thread.

We've been a club who doesn't have that sort of player for a while now, so I'd hope we weren't going to compromise that.

All that said, he did do all that at a separate club, and everyone does deserve a second chance. If he disgraces himself whilst a Spurs player I'll be very annoyed. But until then, he deserves a chance to show he's grown up.

Seems to be a player that gets on with his team mates and enjoys a laugh which has allayed my concerns somewhat.

Ecstatic and a bit gutted.
Looks like an excellent signing but Wanted to see more of KWP.
Looks like he will be third choice now and that's a little harsh after seeing him against Newcastle.

He'll get his chances and I honestly don't think it'll be long until he becomes second choice

I reckon it's almost safe to assume Aurier is over the line now, also Foyth, although I'll be happier once announced officially.
Does feel we're making progress though, day and a half to get Barkley and a WF/CF done, sounds a lot easier than day and a half to get all four signed.

Seriously, read the room man.

You're like ants at a picnic.

Ants at a picnic.

Disagree - it's entirely the right time to post it.

I think you are well entitled to that opinion and anyone negging you is being a bit unfair. Personally I'm excited for the signing and willing to give him a fresh slate at Spurs.

As long as he addresses it and shows contrition, so am I but there's been zero sign up until now. And neg repping is fine

I share your concerns, but there was some discussion of this on the Totally Football Show podcast this week and the French journalist Julien Laurens said that Aurier was (somewhat bizarrely) really popular in the PSG dressing room, but having grown up in a questionable part of Paris he was still surrounded by some rough individuals who he had remained friends with since his youth (Laurens actually said his whole old council estate used to basically spend every Saturday night partying round his house, and that's where the problems often arose). So Laurens suggested that, a move away from Paris and those figures from his youth may be all that's required to keep him out of trouble. Of course if he falls out with anyone in our squad in the way he did with Zlatan then that is going to spell trouble, as it did at PSG between him and Laurent Blanc, but I'd imagine Pochettino has spoken to him about that as much as (if not more) than his homophobic comments (about Blanc) and assaulting the policeman.

Interesting, thanks

100% agree.

Dreaded Barton coming to our club which fortunately didn't materialise.

We can hope he's turned over a new leaf but he seems to be one of those Ravel Morisson types where aggravation seems to follow him around.

It's more the signal it sends out for me that we don't care what someone has done if they're a good player. Like I say, if there was even a sign he regretted his actions, I'd feel very differently

For me, you have to earn the right to a second chance, can't just be given it but appreciate your thoughts

Not too sure about that, we have let Wimmer and Carter-Vickers go. If we have to play with a back 3 several matchs in a row we might have to rotate which could mean we would see Davis on the left of the back three and KWP seems to be able to play left back.

This is why I said A&C could have a freebie if this happened, although told we were interested never believed it, but se sera, please be gentle

Could free KWP up for a Premier League loan, though.

I hear Arsenal could do with upgrading their RB.

I know a guy working for a very large construction firm in Paris with corporate seats at PSG, he said last Friday night the talk was Aurier was done to us and Pastore could join him. Possible double deal announcement?? He also said talk was PSG have tried several times recently 2 sign Hugo... so buckets of salt required etc. Probably just fans speculating!
Interesting link in that he would fit the mold of backup plan to Barkley, he is Argentinian, he reportedly encouraged PSG to sign Foyth, and he gave up his number 10 shirt to Neymar. Weak t-leaves, but it's day before signing day so we are entitled to dream.
