What are you talking about? I'm not stereotyping anyone, just repeating what Julien Laurens said. He said that because he grew up in Paris, all his mates he grew up with are constantly around and basically all just live at Aurier's house and therefore they could be a bad influence on him, as was seen when they did that whole periscope thing.

I'm not saying they're bad people or whatever it is you're trying to twist my words to mean, but I know from my own experience that it's hard to concentrate/focus/be professional when you're constantly surrounded by your mates and all the distractions that go with it, so the point was that if he moves away from his hometown he might not have so many distractions and/or bad influences around him all the time so will find it easier to knuckle down.

Apologies. I didn't mean to twist your words if you felt that.

Yeah I reckon Aurier will be a good choice defensively and going forward.

Think this is a fantastic signing. I'm hopeful that this lad and a returning Rose will provide the pacey forward play we desire with the now obvious back three. Getting Rose back is crucial.

Llorente should provide an experienced and useful plan B that has often been absent.

I reckon Chelsea were proper confident of hijacking this one once the permit issues etc had been sorted out. Would explain why they panic bought Zappacosta at the end, their plan A (Willian-ing us again for Aurier) failed and they had to look elsewhere.

I saw a post somewhere from a Chelsea fan where they asked why Chelsea weren't hijacking the deal. It gives me great pleasure to see them pissed off...even more than Arsenal (although that may be because it's almost getting boring with the latter now).

When he settles he far superior in all areas to Walker.
Absolutely. He's arguably better in some areas than Walker already, and he's 4 years younger and cost half as much. If he was the planned replacement all along when we sold Walker then that's just a masterstroke from Levy and Poch.

From the little I've seen, Aurier looks good however I feel that so many people underrate Kyle Walker...to even suggest Trippier is as good or better was funny to me.

Agree.

Aurier hasn't ever played in this league, only knows french football, a league in which GKN looked class .

He looks good, he seems to have all the right attributes to blossom in the league I feel.

But to already claim he's superior to Kyle walker without seeing a how he copes is beyond RAWK and heading into KUMB.

Kyle walker is an excellent fullback, man city/pep aren't mugs

I am not sure people are saying Aurier will automatically be a better premier league player than Walker. Walker has been in the premier league for a lot longer and knows the league.

Just that he all the attributes to be a better fullback than Walker.

I don't remember many saying trippier was better defensively, what I do remember was people saying he was far better in the final third. I don't know why he was so poor against burnley at the end but those last 15 minutes isn't a true reflection on his defensive qualities either. He was never that bad last season defending that I remember at least

The Gay crowd want to meet up and chat to him. God id love to be a fly on the wall!
I don't get the fuss really. He called Blanc a faggot, that's all. He didn't have an "all gays should burn" moment.
It was disrespectful to Blanc, but as far as I'm concerned, outside of that its a storm in a teacup.

Exactly what I was thinking. But in this day and age you cant get away with it. This is gonna follow him through his career though. As soon as he does something wrong they will bring this up more and more

I really want to know if the 'exclusivity' clause is a real thing, I don't know whether it was mentioned by ITK or someone on the board, if it was an opinion or something verifoed but it sounds like the way fwd to not let willinagate situation arise again.
