Just phoned the home office pretending to be Serge Aurier but they soon realised I was an imposter when I didn't know how to pronounce Serge Aurier.

It's pronounced "Serge Aurier". If you think they suspect skullduggery say it REALLY LOUDLY AND SLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLYYYYYYY.

How is his last name pronounced?

My 4 yrs of high school French (in America, mind you...so it was worthless) have me thinking it's "Oh-ree-ay" or something like that.

You sure it wasn't because they wondered why Serge sounded like a little girl

Uhr-ee-yay.

So pretty much what you said, but with a bit more of a poncey accent and more phlegm.

Oh-ree-ay would be a perfectly acceptable pronunciation in an English accent.

Just not "Orry-err".

This place will melt if it's refused, but we can appeal it. Honestly can't see a reason why it would be denied, so far he's only guilty of being a bit of a dick. He meets all other criteria for it being granted. One thing I am concerned about is if we sign him and his appeal is heard, and then quashed were proper fucked out of £20m odd.
