I was thinking this myself earlier tbh and I still don't really know. Of the attacking players we're linked with, Martial is the only one I'd like but even then, I'm not entirely convinced we even need any more attacking players. I want us to concentrate on our midfield as a priority. As for specific names, Savic is out of our reach and I haven't heard of us being linked with much else midfield wise. I have a soft spot for Mario Lemina but we aren't linked as far as I'm aware.

That’s why I don’t want us to sell them Toby. There is already a danger they disappear out of our sight imo without giving them a helping hand.

That's why we should only sell if they send a useful player to us. We should never be against mutually beneficial trades even with our rivals.

That's where I'm at. Martial, Savic and De Ligt is my dream. And seemingly wouldn't be totally out of our range with a 170mil budget that we've been told (skepticism thats going to happen). Do I see those three players coming, of course not. But I don't understand bringing in 5 players with one being a high priced winger when a bunch of those players aren't required. We need a CM first and foremost, then a Toby replacement. A healthy Rose and an improved KWP/Aurier fixes fullback. Winger/backup striker comes in after that as far as priorities. Those three players would solve all of our needs and complete this squad for the mean time and the long term.

I just worked up a sale list and if we could budget Savic at 80 and De Ligt at 50, Martial & Toby are swapped we'd come out at -approx 40 mil net spend. This seems like realistic sales numbers as well:

Dembele - 25
Llorente - 5
Janssen - 8
NKoudou - 8
RB (Trippier or Aurier) - 15
Sissoko - 10
Onomah - 15
CCV - 5
Total = 91 million.

We get to keep our AM and DM depth as well. We'd also likely be getting rid of more salary than we'd be bringing in.

Someone send this to Levy and Poch ASAP. Or just offer me the DoF job.

I tend to not get involved in the player fees thing, and I know you were being purposely cautious with the values, but I've got to ask. £15mil for Trippier ? 27 years old, One of the best full-backs in the league, England international & our first choice RB. Not on Levy's watch buddy.

No way Levy only takes £10 mil for Sissoko either, even if that is too much for him.

I was just responding to someones valuations of players that we might sell mate.

I personally dont believe we will sell Trippier or Aurier and i wouldnt be suprised if Sissoko stays as Poch trusts him.

I think Alderweireld, Dembele, Llorente, Janssen and N'koudou will be sold and we will loan out Onomah and CCV again.
