Unbelievable, Taarabt's just been red carded too, another unlucky one, he got nutmegged and it made it look like he'd scissored the fella.

What about Sarr, he's caught the eye a little first few of games?
Not heard his name so can't tell you. Maouassa just setup a chance that hit the woodwork. ASSE then hits the woodwork down the other end and now we get a sending off. And to top it off I missed Inter's goal after putting in the 'work' to watch that 10 minutes. Is the italian game behind closed doors? boy is it quiet there.

Edit: got the Maouassa kid's name wrong. Heard about him on the new euro podcast "on the continent'. Can't remember if it was Horncastle or Brassell. It's Faitout Maouassa not Victor.

You missed a goal and two sending's off. When I said it was boiling into a good finish, it was actually Genoa who'd weathered anything Inter could throw (which wasn't loads to be fair) and were looking like they might nick something, then Inter score and Genoa get two players sent off (their two AM's). All very harsh on Genoa.

Anyone else watching the Milan derby?

A tight match, as you'd expect. It's weird watching these two without any massive names playing, but both sides have shown moments of real quality.

Suso with a beauty to level the game. This has been a pretty good match so far, with AC Milan looking much more likely to win it now.

Ooh. Great finish by Icardi for his second of the game. Completely against the run of play.

3-2 Inter. Very, very soft penalty in the last minute to give Icardi his hat trick. Enjoyable game but Milan were very unlucky.

I recorded and started watching it half an hour ago, just got to Inter's goal, wonderful finish by Icardi, so much harder than it looked.

Very impressed by Icardi. Also impressed by Bonaventura for Milan.

Very entertaining match. I really need to watch a lot more Serie A games this season.

Icardi is excellent, proper old school striker but with good technique, when he's on form he is a joy to watch. It's true he seems to have an incredibly high conversion rate. Big, big fan of his, and that second goal. Also, shout out to Immobile who's racked up 15 in 11 in all comps (11 in 8 in the league), good to see him reviving his career. Thought he was done after BVB and Seville.

You should def try and catch more games, the Italian game has changed a lot over the past few years, much faster pace now then it was in the 90s. Been following Inter since the Ronaldo days and football Italia on tv, so glad BT Sport have picked up the rights to it.

Used to love Italian football. For some reason I became a big Genoa fan and even flew out there and got to a game.

Always liked Inter as well, but found myself rooting for AC tonight strangely enough.

Going to keep an eye on the BT fixture lists.

Unbelievable from Icardi again, after a great bit of play from Peresic, completely against the run of play though, very harsh on Milan.

Edit, thought I'd hit send on this post ages ago. Milan now deservedly level again.

A load of money has gone out of the Italian game, as a result they no longer have many of the most talented individuals, but Italy is still home to the best tactical coaching and Italian football is still very watchable and teams will always be competitive, hence them still often outperforming English teams in Europe over the last few years.

Napoli are playing some of the best football in Europe right now as well, and Juve were better than most PL clubs with bigger budgets for the last few years.

Harsh penalty, now 3-2. Been a very good game though. Just before the pen was a lovely move that lead to the corner.

Yeah me too, always loved Football Italia, James Richardson sitting at a cafe table, coffee in front of him, Gazetta della Sport in hand, back then I had a liking for Lazio, mainly due to the Gaza/Spurs connection, also liked some of the other players and the way they played, but that quickly faded, after that never really had a favourite team, but always had a bit of a soft spot for inter.

In 1996 I was lucky enough to go out and watch Milan clinch the title at the San Siro by beating Fiorentina 3-1, Capello managing, Beresi, Maldini, Panucci, Desailly, Costacorta, Baggio, Donadoni, Weah. Unbelievable atmosphere, at the game and in the city afterwards, never been in an atmosphere like it, noise, smoke bombs. Afterwards the hole city just came out in their cars, honking and cheering. Great trip.

Also there to see Spurs beat Milan in the CL. Love the San Siro, my favourite ground that I've been to.
