We seem to employ the zonal marking thing which I’ve never been a fan of. Always think you’re better off man marking.

Lloris + vertonghen have nearly 200 international caps between them. You’d think they’d be able to organise command a defence without toby who’s the least experienced of the 3.

That's why I said not confined to helps if you read it properly bruv:D
True, then again it's a shame you didn't before you originally posted in this thread, bruv :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, back on the topic of set pieces and Spurs defending of them this season, as with most things it's probably a number of factors including varying changes at the back due to new player(s) and injuries and the unusual lapses in concentration.

Bit of a microcosm of Spurs as a whole this season.

We don’t. We do a mixture.

Kane front post Zone, Winks middle zone but then everyone else man marks someone

Looking back at the season so far, we've conceded 7 goals as a result of a set piece. 6 corners and 1 free kick.

Surely after last season that would have been something to look at? The amount of goals that are scored directly as a result of a set piece are relatively small, so complaining of scoring from them is one thing, but having just over a third of the goals conceded this season coming from them is a concern.

It's such a basic and essential aspect of the game, especially as we have the majority of the ball in most games, if we give away a sloppy goal from a corner it can throw the game plan out of the window immediately.

The crap teams in this league, Stoke etc will rely on these situations to score against us and we haven't seemingly learnt our lesson yet.

It's all the more baffling when a majority of the time the entire team are back defending

1 = a class free kick from Alanso

2 = Wet Spam was a near post flick on, yes perhaps he should of been marked, but 1st phase can leave you flat footed

3 = Arse when your a couple inches offside then its a free header if the delivery is good

4 = Watford when your marking zonal, there will always be a time when someone times their run jump and connection

5 = Stoke was just a mess up from Lloris

6 = Man City was the only one that was disgusting

don't know the other corner
