Shaq has followed in the footsteps of Harry Kane (and others) to go on loan at Leyton Orient - initiallly for a month.

Within 24 hours, he's on the bench v Yeovil, hope he's met his team mates even if he hasn't trained with them !

Best of luck to Shaq. Hopefully lots of playing time and a hatful of goals.....and the opportunity to help Orient get promotion to the Championship !

He's got Orient's only shot on target according to the BBC page.

From O message board
Coulthirst: interesting. Missed a chance (shot straight at keeper at end) but busy and nice touch. Smallish but nippy. Made a difference when he came on although the game was already lost.

Hope he does well as I really want to see the O's get promoted. I'm old enough to remember when they made the top flight, getting promoted with the scousers, even if it was just for a year

Tottenham teenager Shaquile Coulthirst is in line to make his full Leyton Orient debut tonight after impressing manager Russell Slade since joining on loan.

Coulthirst, who is highly regarded by Spurs manager Tim Sherwood, last week moved to League One side Orient on a one-month deal to help their promotion bid.

The 19-year-old impressed from the bench during Saturday’s 4-0 FA Cup defeat at Yeovil and might be rewarded with a starting place against Shrewsbury.

Coulthirst made his Spurs debut in the Europa League earlier this season and Slade hopes he can be the latest loanee from the club to make his mark at Orient.

“This loan is a big opportunity for Shaquile,” said Slade. “It was the same when we had Harry Kane, Paul-Jose M'Poku and Tom Carroll here, they had not had a first-team game before they came to us and this is what they strive for.

“It is very early stages but he was quite sprightly when he came on against Yeovil, which was very positive. He is very direct and I was very impressed with his positivity. Whenever he picks the ball up, he likes to turn and run at defenders.”

Coulthirst has an important role to play with Orient missing top scorer Dave Mooney and Shaun Batt because of injury. Batt could be out for up to four months with a torn hamstring but Slade hopes Mooney, who has scored 15 goals this season, will return from his foot problem this month. Slade has also bolstered his attacking options with the signing of Norwich forward Jamar Loza on a one-month loan.''

Sounds like he has gone there with a real chance to get some proper minutes under his belt, lets hope he can show us what he can do.

Shaq can be as arrogant as he likes as long as he scores goals. Got one and could have had another and only on for 9 minutes.

Shaq - 6 - Silly booking but took his goal well and could have had another.

We definitely need at least one of Loza / Coulthirst, they both have that pace and spark that M'Poku did when we had him on loan which can change games.

And the two kids who came on. Probably gave their backline more problems than Lisbie/Simpson did and you could see how much the goal meant to Coolthirst. Great moment.

It was only ever reported as a 1 month loan deal starting on the 3rd Jan so i guess that finished yesterday and he came straight back into the U21 fold

Shaquile Coulthirst has joined League Two side Torquay United on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old forward made his First Team debut coming on as a substitute in December’s 4-1 win at home to Anji Makhachkala in the Europa League.

He has also made 13 appearances for us in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League this season, scoring seven goals, and captained the side in Monday evening’s 1-0 win at Middlesbrough.

He scored his first Football League goal earlier this season during a one-month loan spell at Leyton Orient.
