Alan Shearer says that Harry Kane will have to produce the goods at this summer’s World Cup in order to become a global star.

He's already a global star. Silly statement. I suppose it's better than the usual "needs to leave Tottenham" to be a global star.

What a load of horseshit? Has Messi really impressed in the NT and I guess Salah is fucked then, a mediocre career awaits him.

What is a ‘global star’? Is Harry just some Sunday league footballer now or is the the highest goal scorer in arguably the best league in the world for the last 3-4 years?

Shearer named on BBC World Cup panel. Provides headline.

He really is the most inane and predictable pundit out there, and that's up against some pretty stiff competition!.

I don't care if Harry's a global star. He's our star.
He's also the only current English player who's world class. Instead of having a dig at HK, the pundits should be asking why no other English player is anywhere near that level. Sadly, for both Kane personally and for the team as a whole, I can't see him getting the help he needs, simply because there aren't enough players there who belong in an England team.

Who gives a shit as to whether Harry does well at the World Cup? The best we can hope for from a Spurs point of view is that Vardy replaces him in the starting line up and Harry doesn't play a single minute of football. I'd rather he be back fresh for next season.

It’s quite funny actually, the man who choose to stay loyal to who he wanted to play for, and didn’t lead England to any silverware gives advice to a player who will eclipse his record... his grapes our as sour as Levy’s face on TAX return day.
